the advertisement

It time to rumble again on the big page. Yes, we have comments in which we say big things sometimes, and could say them there into infinity or ... as long as the planet allows us, but there's something about the homepage's introduction to the individual as artist and the various extras that make us unique. One of the ways I think I might be unique is contrary thinking. It is why I am so drawn to the spiritual side, always seeking patience and oneness with all that there is. Contrary thinking has its positive side, especially now. I am speaking of the strange case of the overpopulation/overreaction crisis of Jumbo the Elephantine hyper-replicating redundancy in overlap of empirical duties. Surely by now everyone has an opinion whether or not they've even read the whole Wapo expose who apparently fears nothing since Matt Taibbi exposes anything he wants and lives to expose again. (They saw he was getting a lot of traffic, maybe they even saw his traffic was mostly card holding repeat visitors who bought stuff.) Probably, like you, at first read, I shook my head in disgrace for the subjects profiled as hideously wanton and wasteful, eager and idiotic at the same time. Hook line and sinker is how it usually goes down followed immediately by alarmed twitterings and continental squeals on the bandwidth as if such a thing had never, ever occurred to anyone before.

I thought Orwell was required reading on the summer homework lists.

Hang on, it gets worse, after visiting a few blogs around the 'sphere, blogs speaking out on our very subject, it came to me what we are looking at IS NOT what it appears to be. It is an advertisement, a word formerly known as propaganda. See how big and unwieldy we are? You definitely do not want to mess with us or fall out with us. We are oversize monsters gobbling everything everywhere and demand you stay in your mud hovel under the overpass munching processed potato flakes while tweaking your facebook page. We are BIG and we are BAAAAD. No one can manage us, get it? No one.

There is a lot of background to this - learned by the many years we can refer to as the millennium of wiretapping, eavesdropping, warrantless spying and fraudulent imbedded reporting as well as the relentless echoes of same by just about anyone desperate for any job, desperate enough to wipe up the mangroves with a piece of toilet tissue and desperate because the college loan sharks are breathing down their necks, even though they ought to know better after living here so long, its a scene to make just like working a rock festival is a scene. It is common knowledge Wapo, the NYtimes and yes, even the LaTimes are the propaganda wings of the Deciders, is it not? Has this not been drummed into our brains enough by now, and yet by reading the blogs you have to deduct it has not, amazingly, especially among the conservative blogs. Still the little people shiver and quake, Oooooo its so big and hey, its incredible, its great! So what if they are stepping on each other's feet, that's what we have to do if we're gonna win. Pass the Cheetos.

My first reaction never considered the possibility what I was reading was anything other than it seemed because it was actually credible. Of course this is what goes on. Anybody who did not get this already, hand in air. Your only real critical thinking takes place in running a mental newsreel backwards.
I saw something about this last night and it zoomed right over my head like what else is new.
You can see how Rumsfeld would ignore the Taguba Report, you can see how BP looks lean and effective by comparison. You can see the Bu-ad's mission accomplished with no responsibility for its future, you can see any subsequent president totally overwhelmed.
As of today with the GOM on our minds, you can see how there can't be an effective response much less anything remotely resembling an orderly, serious evacuation.
We can add conflicts beyond our borders to this insanity, border protection, overbuilding bases worldwide and alas, the crumbling of the VA leaving homeless patriots in wheelchairs praying for a push to the soup kitchen uphill in 115 Fahrenheit sun. You can see Tony Hayward mumbling before Congress because he faces no danger, just as Angelo Mozillo walks a free man today. You can see how the market boys toy with our funds, you can see how the "scene" has achieved more importance and value than humanity and nature.
And you know Charles, whatever acronyms they want to label themselves, its still civil service, that monotonous, lowbrow gig you just couldn't consider because you had better in mind for your life.
And better it is in every way even when its interrupted with various unpleasantries, those are just reminders the meek shall inherit the Earth.

Go walk your dog for five minutes and read the Wapo piece again. Ask why now? Why not next month or last? Or last year? I guarantee this is well received in high places. Notice no one actually said anything treasonous or demeaning concerning any of the immediate elite other than they were doing what they thought was helping along the mission of empire. And growth, well growth is good.

Almost a perfect puff piece retaliating against the awful thought the corporatocracy may be who is manning the helm. Sort of a Columbus story isn't it? The Nina, the Pinta and the Santa Maria as well site explorers. In my last post I began with the official geographic name of the blowout which in its totality tells us the planet's seabed is real estate just like any other to be bought and sold, leased, as we note, and a desirable product used to sway nations into anything that might need swaying such as releasing prisoners. When you operate on such a level, incomprehensible to most, you need X-Files arrangements pumping at full blast, bumping elbows, knocking over coffee cups, repeating efforts over and over just in case the newbies and office porn addicts didn't hear you the first time. Are we to think China does not have a similar situation, Medvedev and Putin? Gaddafi? Oh, why not. Its Spy vs. Spy out there. We're in overpopulation anyway and humans need paychecks.

It is all very weird. There is this dread methane bubble aching for release and Mother Earth's arteries are bleeding all sorts of sludge, not just locally mind you, but wherever the Law of the Sea has given berth to real estate moguls. You might think the multitudes of hemorrhagic gushers have pressed this planet into another parallel. None of it is accidental. There are no accidents. There is a new feeling in the air, its false of course, it only feels new because it came on gradually everywhere else and has hidden itself for all the worst reasons. Arthur Silber and Chris Floyd have been pounding on this heavily talking about the myth of American Exceptionalism, a myth perpetuated with exactly the type of public relations ploy carried out chiefly by the media of which Wapo expertly body surfs the crowning breakers, ignoring tarballs, slicing through beaks and fins and buoying again the rightness of the religion of Manifest Destiny. You'll notice they do this while the North American continent is riveted in astonishment that BP can call its own shots. Yes, in spite of the yammerings in the background of restitution, in spite of the genuine possibility this time they may have really gone too far, Wapo gets in there to make sure the whole world is aware how big and baaaad are the mighty Masters of War.

I am very busy right now, but i wanted you to know that i read this, i am here, i so appreciate your writing and that i will be back later to comment in detail. if ever there were a sign of the apoc it IS that overtanned Countrywide prick walking free. i cant believe we sit here complacently taking it and taking it -as you once eloquently put it -strip mined.

i love the composition on the new painting with the cat and dogs. lots of wit here.

i think of you often, friend, all of you actually, as i tend to my garden. the light has shifted as have the constellations. fall will be upon us sooner than you think. its in the night air.

Chickory, you made me laugh, always a good thing, with this zinger: "overtanned Countrywide prick"--exactly!

Nina, your entry reminds me of Chairman Mao's phrase: "Quanitity has it's own quality." If the Empire gets big enough (and it has), then it has its own unique "quality" to inspire fear and complicity.

Chickory, credit goes to Charles who came up with stripmining.

I have a bunch of oil paintings around here I did. I haven]t felt much like painting in awhile though, especially now. I do seascapes. I am not sure how to get an oil sheen into them.

For a laugh though, I checked to see if this name was available and it was. I added some new pics.

Mick, a place to start: try using vermilion with metallic gold and thinning it down to desired transparency.

I've got your new blog downloading in another tab. Its going to take awhile. That is why I put only a few things on my Gallery page and the rest in archives, it take a long time for it all to open. but then, I'm on dialup. Sigh. I'd love to see your seascapes.

The national security state is pretty much socialism for american-born-white-men. Of course, political inclinations that even touch the center mark exempt you from the gravy train.

I spent some time lately with a close relative who needed help moving. Every cent he has earned in the last ten years has originated in some government budget or another.

So, of course, he whines about his horrible tax burden as he drives down government-paved roads in his giant truck paid for by his time spent as a war contractor. This while driving towards his house built because a fat new road made commuting to his security state job possible. Insanity.

Orlov's recent post about thinking in straight lines gets to the heart of the matter. TPTB have given huge resources to people completely unable to finesse a problem. In turn their minions support them without thinking.

I cannot help thinking of the old, old, meanings of the word "juggernaut." The great vehicle, unable to turn, that crushes those who support it as well as the merely unfortunate trapped in it's path.

It cannot be lead because it can't turn.
Best get out of the way.

This is definitely worth a read. Who killed the Gulf.

This states there was 2 million barrels of corexit on hand immediately to dump into the gulf, not 2 million gallons. So we have 42 million gallons out there.

Military was holding drills also for a "major spill" before this ever happened.

And the items were only those which were discovered and seized. The business is huge and fueled by the fact that psychopaths run places where the human populations are desperate. Plus all the 'product' is really pricey and there's money to be made along every step of the way. The end 'consumer' is always the rich elite.
I simply cannot get my mind around what this really means re: our fellow innocent sentient nations' karma, incarnating program, ultimate fate, our ancient connections, and all the rest.
This dimensional level seem irrevocably disturbed. Each disturbance cascades throughout all the other systems. What will we (and She) have left to work with? How many generations can we 'go on'? I guess we'll see if we make it to 12/21/12.

Even if it is real roadkill, why do people drive like bats outta hell in areas where wildlife lives? I've clocked squirrels at 40 mph max, but people on empty country roads think even 50 is too slow. Animals don't do 50. (Only a mere handful of humanity would know that. Count em on one hand.) They just do not have the emotional ability to grasp what they are missing.

The more I read about this it seems the more twisted it gets. Now they are having trouble finding any oil in the gulf! Gone are the stories of gigantic underwater oilbergs etc etc. Did BP just perform a miraculous clean up? Was there less oil than advertised?

I think it is safe to say there is plenty of corexit to be blown inland with the storms however. You are right Nina this stuff is supposedly one molecule away from anti-freeze and contains mercury, arsenic, plutonium and several other goodies.

When they won't let anybody near the place how do you tell what is going on? I think it is still safe to say millions of retirees will eventually bite the bullet living near the water in several states. The poison will thin out and some serious beach front might be available for pennies on the dollar providing easy access to more drilling. That is all I can figure anyway.

There might be something to that story of the well being fixed fairly rapidly but who knows any more.

I am not eating any more fish though.

bholanath said...

Well, at least BP can save some bucks with their prisoner clean-up labor, subsidized by us to the tune of 2000+ bucks per head and a 40% rebate on minimum wage. Best of all, they can't refuse!

Anonymous said...

http://english.pravda.ru/world/americas/114356-0/

And then we have this. Note pravda mentions the two methane extinction events came from the same area, the gulf of Mexico where BP drilled. Is there nobody who can order these gargoyles back to the isles from whence they came.

nina said...

Mick, which story was that? About the well being fixed fairly rapidly ... are you talking about the forum post we read about it being an illusion? Do you have a link for that one, or if a different one, a link to it?

As far as the AP link you put up about the hired boats having trouble finding oil, the coming storm currents may have already moved it to the coasts, they should be looking underwater, deep. Of course, we'll see nothing since all ops are shut down almost indefinitely. Allen would not confirm when they'd start up again.

The more I think about it the more plausible an illusion seems. We never really put these things away, they just get moved over to the side while we consider asphalt.

Of course, they have to have killed the dispersant spraying - storm, oil magically disappeared - right? Right?

beloved nina and beloveds,

i have become an ostrich.
in the sunny plains i find spot that appeals and then i just stick my head in a hold and spend my time looking at the ants, beetles, microbes, decay, growth all in my tiny hole.
for me to visit here means leaving the sanctuary of the warm earth and the inwardness of the journey.
seeing what is being pointed to i am afraid is too much to bear.
so i scuttle off to bake bread, water the garden, walk in the nature reserve, be with the kids.

had flu this week, firs time in 30 years. one night i dreamt i visited an elderly female chinese medic. she was ancient. feeling my pulse she told me that there was a pathogen attacking me but that the body would cope, not like the millions that are going to die from exposure to the corexit were her words. they have no hope she told me.
i woke wondering if that was meant to make me feel better that i would live and millions would die.

the kids and i were watching a documentary on john lennon the other day - and i though there is no way on earth that if this being would be alive that the overtanned mannequin would still be in office. no way on earth.
have we as humans, grown so satisfied with the gadgets thrown at us that we have forgotten the fine art of revolution.
and then reading about castro and his life and times i feel where is our hero - or do we each have to arise to fill that position.

i love the ever changing art on here. it shows your true courage - able to look out and yet still able to capture the humour and harmony.

on that note i see a new mound on the distant hill that i need to examine closely.
take care of thine self.

Desmond SuSu, No way John Lennon would have made it to these times. He was removed as were so many others with vision, morality, funds and fearlessness have been. Where is our leader, our revolt? So recently the middle classes and the poor saw increase and abundance only to have it vanish, while they worry over it all, sticking out their necks is something they have no time for now or even the knowledge why it is important. If they don't see it, they won't demand it much less offer themselves into any revolt. No one revolts, they just grumble and write posts.
The trick is to keep it impersonal enough so one has no single defining cause for their miseries - coulda been this, maybe that - and just enough self-guilt to suggest maybe they own the blame and better go along.
The sheer numbers of people who are already lethargic and weakened into such a position has made it relatively easy for the oligarchy to continue to increase their power exponentially. Let's say theoretically, the elite is ultimately successful. How long before they do one another in? Although, the operational style being used to take over corporations is already a daily occurrence, meaning they are already doing each other in. It has not always been like this, otherwise mega bloodsucking corporations answering to nobody, could never have become so unwieldy so quickly.

Thanks for your comment, I knew that's what you'd been up to. I'd rather be doing that too.

We now have an 800,000 gallon spill in Michigan. 200,000 gallons in a creek in Salt Lake City, The Red Sea, Australia, Gulf, North Sea, China, (Sorcha claims high altitude plane of U.S. popped it with laser, probably b.s. but?) BP excecutive just resigned from Alaska pipeline after whistle blower says it is capable of being worse than gulf due to lack of maintenance.

Connecting the dots is this the avenue of population reduction. Corexit from Nalco of Illinois and Sugarland, Texas ready to go. The danger here would be it can be released and deaths can be attributed to benzene posioning/corexit clouds from gulf. Corexit ruptures red blood cells as does dengue fever which cnn tried to say affected a woman from Atlanta who was in the Keys. Doctor said it was hard to distinguish between dengue and corexit poisoning. Corexit also kills plant life as well. Bingo we may have a winner as far as agenda 21 and America becoming a wilderness and many settling in Canada.

The central bank charter runs out in strangely 2012, end of the Mayan calendar. To renew it would take majority of house and senate but majority of state legislators of all states.

What do you think? I always try and look at the big picture. The number of trolls I am acquiring lately seem to point toward no talk of asphalt tar, corexit and essene scrolls hidden away which refute black robe constructs. If this is the agenda somebody better figure it out fast because the U.S. military is in the Persian gulf and now Costa Rico.
