we interrupt your enheeeeeeeeee attention for an impor zzzzzzzzzzzzz

"...Looking towards the year 2100, models forecast that pressures on biota will continue to increase. The co-opting of resources and energy use by humans will continue to increase as the global population reaches 9,500,000,000 people (by 2050), and effects will be greatly exacerbated if per capita resource use also increases. Projections for 2100 range from a population low of 6,200,000,000 (requiring a substantial decline in fertility rates) to 10,100,000,000 (requiring continued decline of fertility in countries that still have fertility above replacement level) to 27,000,000,000 (if fertility remains at 2005–2010 levels; this population size is not thought to be supportable .... Rapid climate change shows no signs of slowing. Modelling suggests that for 30% of Earth, the speed at which plant species will have to migrate to keep pace with projected climate change is greater than their dispersal rate when Earth last shifted from a glacial to an interglacial climate ... and that dispersal will be thwarted by highly fragmented landscapes. Climates found at present on 10–48% of the planet are projected to disappear within a century, and climates that contemporary organisms have never experienced are likely to cover 12–39% of Earth... . The mean global temperature by 2070 (or possibly a few decades earlier) will be higher than it has been since the human species evolved. ..."   Approaching a state shift in Earth’s biosphere via Cryptogon

We have no time or interest in playing "I told you so".  We are in deep trouble of the worst kind. Only genuine think tanks, not the political byproducts generating press releases, are talking about the obvious.  We are hearing classic Nero violin compositions while all hell is breaking loose.  Its a switch from the previous position of serious science, that body of experts who dared not speak up or face loss of funding and public ridicule.  How will it be handled now?

It won't be.  For those who gain through others' loss, it doesn't call for action, in spite of the fact all around them the evidence is undeniable, they've had warning, they've experienced the realities first hand, but to take action, to this day, is to lose the vote and be shuffled off to the peanut clinic (or worse).  When disaster strikes, if you can pay attention, those affected make up two distinct types, the type who permanently leaves the region having born witness to the chaos and destruction caused by overloading Nature and those who rally around whichever political celebrity visits the aftermath of same, declaring citizens' heroism and patriotic unity in rebuilding over their loss.  Oh, rebuild by any means, the more the better.  The cameras are on.  In fact, if you happen to look upward while looking at the hopeless tsunamis of debris, the snarl of downed power lines, collapsed interstates, smoke and cinders, drought ravaged croplands and melted plastic, you'll see seven football fields of blimp droning overhead insuring compliance.  You might ask, "Um, compliance with what?"

"... in the optimal case, averting a planetary-scale critical transition demands global cooperation to stem current global-scale anthropogenic forcings ... . This will require reducing world population growth ...and per-capita resource use; rapidly increasing the proportion of the world’s energy budget that is supplied by sources other than fossil fuels while also becoming more efficient in using fossil fuels when they provide THE ONLY OPTION ...  increasing the efficiency of existing means of food production and distribution instead of converting new areas ... or relying on wild species ... to feed people; and enhancing efforts to manage as reservoirs of biodiversity and ecosystem services, both in the terrestrial ...
and marine realms ..."
*caps, mine

Now for those who leave, walking away from everything they ever knew, we might ask where on Earth are they expected to go?  You might recall the people bused away from Katrina often landed in places they'd never been.  We don't know what became of that group other than most of them did not return having nothing to return to, evident by the population drop, that was in any way reminiscent of going home.  Some were bused to stadiums elsewhere and reports of their unfortunate welcome status as intruding unwanteds shortly surfaced.  Some who survived and stayed were assigned (gasp, choke) Fema trailers.  But a larger group has never been heard from at all.  I suggest, to this day they are still wandering, a month here, two or three weeks there, essentially permanently homeless, perhaps dead, perhaps squatting under an interchange toughing it out with veterans of dispossession who long ago made their peace with nowhere to simply be, foraging out of dumpsters, praying to rest undisturbed.  You can't go where you want to go without the funds to get there.  It is the same story with people who walked away from their mortgages, if they couldn't meet the unmeetable expense of The Dream then, how are they doing in their new digs - unemployed with zero credit?  And we hear that multitudes of Haitians are still tenting, sometimes twelve or more related souls crammed under disintegrating tiny tarps designed for short term shelter from the blistering sun and daily tropic downpours.

I don't think many readers actually believe the totality of the darkness we have entered.  Of course, its even more absurd offline.  The general attitude I run into "out there" varies from "What's that?" to outright anger unprocessable information interferes with the blissful state of whomever's rocky little house of cards is showing cracks.  People of all flavors run their personal mental scans over everything they fall into, silently searching for the false element behind the spoken/written word of others.  Be my guest, its the latest rage.  More surprises unfold every day and many more are ripening for your awareness.  I've not seen a more apt description of these times than that of Visible's mention of the film, Memento. While it is difficult to categorize, if you are looking for it, you'd look among neo noir classics such as Blue Velvet, also highly recommended, but be sure to study up on Director, David Lynch before viewing or you might mistake this film for a precursor to Pulp Fiction, as if there were any basis for comparison between Dennis Hopper and John Travolta.  Memento is a remarkably applicable metaphor for 2012, day-by-freaky-day.  I suggest you try to see it if you have not, chances are you are already living it in the timeless, graceless, out of sequence evolution of modern civilization, repeating in reverse your personal movie starring your personal acquaintances,  underscoring all the unsolvable mystery accumulated through lifetimes of radiation exposure, mandatory vaccines, silent plagues and steady diets of pesticides resulting in the disguise of your recollection vs somebody else's bizarre interpretation of current events.  It truly is inexplicable that the incredible fallout could be curbed, the most dire impacts minimized, the dangers ahead clear and certain and yet those who are managing the movement of the muppets continue to freely encourage, profit from and pass egregious legislation guaranteeing maximum damage. The science goes unheeded, bless them, teaching us this important lesson: Just because it is Fact changes nothing.  You might wonder why on God's Earth with an overarching situation so obvious, so bleak, so final, already showing its claws, the Rough Beast here and gnashing, that politicians are the very fruitcake figures who could make the appropriate arrangements to knock it back.  We know they know.  We also know they compromised themselves out of any possibility something could be done, that it is the very nature of tawdry liars, flunkies and thieves to compromise for their personal survival, just how is it they are able to continue unabated AND even deny some of us the vote?  To deny the vote is another goofball trick to make something without value appear to have great value.  Indeed, those who are angrily disqualified from voting are lost in Memento, no short term memory, early conditioning urges them on, its all they know to do lacking any other modus operandi, while recent memory fails them in the present making them completely unable to differentiate between casting their allegiance to kill teams OR to vulture capitalism (another kill team in itself).  The climate change denial dilemma, mutually assured destruction, guarantees all of these things are brought to the forefront because you know it can't go on like this as Nature bears down harder slamming her point home with every new out of season tightening of the screws.  We've passed the tipping point so many times, the phrase "something evil comes this way" has lost its meaning, just like the little boy who cried Wolf, the populations are fully enured.  The most blase among them especially enjoy spouting in your face talking points: "This is just like 1993" or "We had snow in July when I was .... blah, blah, blah".

I would post more frequently, there is a lot happening, however my immediate lifestyle (by no means long term, if there is such a thing as heh, long term anymore) doesn't actually permit much time for composition.  It is very Memento-like in its backups and fast forwards, lacking chronological order.  I remember I came to this environment from somewhere with some baggage, but whatever it was has been buried under the pudge and sludge of the city-experience where everything you heard might or might not be coming soon, is already sealed in place to observe in silent shock and horror and to artfully resist impaction as much as possible in order to avert situational disaster.  Huge populations jammed into outrageously expensive, faux mission-style stucco tenements have resulted in the literal upending of society, where the underbelly of urgent need and craven depravity spills over into broad daylight.  The initial curiosity has of course, vanished, it is what it is making our second important lesson: They-want-it-this-way. When a society knits itself together inside a cacophony of sirens, revving engines, helicopters, wheezing buses, ambulances, alarms, startling dingdong bells, alerts, incessant interruptions, theatrical warnings bursting through every technological amplificaation appliance, nonstop paranoia and inane illegalities, the human voice cannot compete.  The individual has been reduced to a mere numerical sector where invoices and junk advertisements heralding go along to get along are submitted for processing upon receipt. Perhaps it is only a temporary perception problem due to sensory overload?  We wish.  If it were such, how does it end?

Let your mind function freely without abiding anywhere or in anything. Hui-Neng

Hello Nina....living lives of quiet desperation, amid a daily assault of sensory overload and a monetary juggernaut that enslaves us and binds the joy and love of living....

Only a force of nature will change our path...major unbalance will bring major corrections...may we all walk in balance .....

Thank you Nina for sharing your amazing insights!

Well then Terrance, bring it on because this is no way to live. You have to wonder what karma we are paying off that demands such a price in this lifetime.

As an aside, those of you who visit the Memento website I've linked to in the post, the good stuff begins at least halfway down the page. The first paragraphs seemingly appear as a whole story, but box office take is not our interest. How the metaphor brilliantly clues into to our experience is the especially interesting part.

It is like you are reading my mind. I feel very sad when I see those of us who think changes in politics will make a difference. We are in the age we are in and I salute you as one who obviously came here from somewhere else on a voluntary foray to add some civility to the chaos.

It is all headed to the gotterdammerung at this point and not much can change it. The approaching change will come from the heart of the Christos. Those with temporary power will be very surprised I think.

No our present monetary system has been in place for millenia, putting phony money in the piggy bank and looking for allies, well it is sad.

Speak your truth and get ready to exit a planet that is about to undergo a major reorganization. Never forget the small band of truth tellers you encountered here along the way, and hold them close forever. Eternity is a very long time. Yes karma can do that and it will be much more clear in the after life.

I am gearing up for a party of unspeakable dimensions.

Nina, those in a position to influence a turn toward sanity can neither act nor speak because, as usual, "it's an ongoing investigation". Another sickening phrase.

Speaking of sickening phrases, does anybody know what legitimate rape that rarely impregnates the victim is supposed to mean? Is it a gay thing or is it sheer stupidity or is it the majority of babies come from the stork? Heh, perfect example of a fruitcake.

Bhowie, what is it about your blog posts that make the tears spill over before I can make a decent comment? Certainly am enjoying your time travels lately. Very deep, very real. The compassionate child becomes the man he always was. This is why your music is so extraordinary.

Well, Nina, it seems to be in keeping with the nature that we find ourselves in that the the scum rises to the top. It's just that I didn't think it would happen in every direction at once. From the governments, banks, Wall St. moguls of finance, to the Churches, Boy Scouts, college sports, and the Supreme Court. Souless scumbags rule the roosts.
I hope it is some sort of privilege for the rest of us to be born in the time of the Kali Yuga, when the materialists rule over the demise of civilization, and the next chapter will be written by those who crawl out from under the rubble. Maybe we should spend our time placing caches of supplies like seeds, fishing tackle, tools, etc. to be found and put to use someday. Musical instruments and wonderful artwork like yours would be good, too. Random acts of survival kits.
If anything is going to get better, capitalism is going to have to replaced by compassion and cooperation. All these big-assed houses would make terrific communes. Empty malls could house a whole tribe. Lots of good stuff waiting to happen. But,not while we are in the death grip of the power mad and reaping what we have sown in the environment. (sigh)
Personally, I suspect that I have had post traumatic stress disorder since the Kennedy assassinations. The whole country now seems like the Bates Hotel in "Psycho." We're all just waiting for the shriveled mummy to show up so we know what's been happening all along.

nina said...

Mick, thank you, one thing we apparently get to see before the afterlife when all is revealed is recognition of soul bredren. It may well turn out that a lot of us no longer qualify for return tickets to another lifetime on death row.

It is also possible some of us here are paying back for more than one or two others who passed through at some point, leaving the task unfinished, and it was trusted to us to pick up the slack - without words, but by actions, and the job was willingly accepted because we could handle it.

I don't think you are paying back anything. I think you are an angel that agreed to come down to this disaster to try to help out. Chances are you simply gave it your best shot and will be going back to where you came from. Not everyone is an earth spirit. I don't think you are. I am sure of it.

In fact if we are to believe the masters, earth is approaching judgement day, the spirits who have acted in accordance with the Christos can leave this realm soon. Infinity is very large, in fact never ending. There are many planets in infinity. If you need a vacation you can attend one. If you wish to help a diseased planet like earth and try to help, well here you are.

There are spirits inhabiting canines these days more elevated than those who enjoy kingship. Why do I say this? Most dogs will never let you down, most kings will try and destroy you. They will certainly do so if to their advantage. It is all about the interplay of the spirits. The physical realm has no value. It is a testing ground. Matter will pass away and the spirit will not.

Am I wrong? look around at the carnage we see among us. It is all for physical acquisition. We acquire things on a planet that will one day pass into oblivion. Will our spirits pass into oblivion? That is up to us.

Nina if I hear the suggestion it is not time for you to leave this planet and move on, I shall certainly rise in protest. You are an angel. But you are not from here, this should be obvious.

FA "Random acts of survival kits." I love this plan. It feels so right and always has. It reminds me of the Wizard and his clay heads in the crevices and underbrush. Its also about giving our gifts purpose and meaning making them stronger and more durable through the appreciation of unknown, future others, i.e.; posterity. But most of all, its about everlasting love, freely sending out our love into the universe because we love them already and send meaningful presents in declaration.

I would think including herbal remedies would be helpful in addition to your seeds and tools. Maybe Murph could carve plaques with visual instructions? And don't forget copies of your book!

And this photo shows what I call the Crystal Oasis, a big rock garden ( your only seeing a very small part of it ) I did out in the remote desert mountains. I built the little pool seen to collect rain water. It was very cold on the day this pic was taken and you can see ice on the surface of the little pool. The previous photo was at an area of natural white quartzite outcrops about a half mile away in the same mountains, and I have carried hundreds of pounds of stones from there to the rock garden :-)

And the Crystal Oasis is just out of the upper left of this photo :-)

I'm heading out there tomorrow to see how things are doing after two intense downpours we have received in the last week. Its always interesting to see what changes the rains have created in that pristine desert landscape :-)

Nina .. depending on the quality you need there are different ways. A very easy way on Win7, go to accessories, go to sound record and start recording (of course you need to dig out the mike and stick it into the right hole). When you click 'stop recording' you will get a .wma file which you then can change into a mp3. This is a lower quality way. For a higher quality method, search out some sofware that writes an mp3 directly and not through Windoze.

Little else to say. Just pondering the concept of 'as above, so below' from the Emerald Tablet, in relation to what is happening here, below. I really wonder what 'above' looks like.

nina said...

Neil .. There are too many people disconnected from the devic realm,,,,thats the problem...

That is the fundamental element driving the darkness. You might as well have said irresponsibility, carelessness, void of awareness, hostile alien intervention, a mass plague of narcissism, limited vision and perpetual cohesion under false belief systems. And now, we are awakening to the consequences which are being addressed by the creators of the "problem", the old foxes guarding the henhouse saga.

It goes by many names, warming, overpopulation, resource depletion, etc., everything but the reality.

Thank you Neil!

HOKUSAI SAYS (by Roger Keyes)

Hokusai says Look carefully.
He says pay attention, notice.
He says keep looking, stay curious.
He says there is no end to seeing.

He says Look Forward to getting old.
He says keep changing,
you just get more who you really are.
He says get stuck, accept it, repeat yourself
as long as it’s interesting.

He says keep doing what you love.
He says keep praying.
He says every one of us is a child,

every one of us is ancient,
every one of us has a body.
He says every one of us is frightened.
He says every one of us has to find a way to live with fear.

He says everything is alive -
shells, buildings, people, fish, mountains, trees.
Wood is alive.
Water is alive.
Everything has its own life.
Everything lives inside us.
He says live with the world inside you.

He says it doesn’t matter if you draw, or write books.
It doesn’t matter if you saw wood, or catch fish.
It doesn’t matter if you sit at home
and stare at the ants on your verandah or the shadows of the trees
and grasses in your garden.

It matters that you care.
It matters that you feel.
It matters that you notice.
It matters that life lives through you.

Contentment is life living through you.
Joy is life living through you.
Satisfaction and strength
are life living through you.
Peace is life living through you.

He says don’t be afraid.
Don’t be afraid.
Look, feel, let life take you by the hand.
Let life live through you.

I found fresh droppings from a desert Big Horn Sheep at the Crystal Oasis today. There was rainwater in the pool I built there so it was probably getting a drink :-)

Here is another one of my little clay heads in a granite hollow along the trail out in the same area. Today the roundish red depression around the smooth black rock had rain water in it, making it look like a little Zen contemplation pool of sorts :-)

I call this photo " Wizards Wand, Animating the Ori ". I named the little heads I make the Ori, short for Orion ( my favorite constellation ), because they all have the imprint of eight triangular ( think pyramids ) shapped holes in the pattern of the central stars of Orion on the back of them :-)

Mick, your comment that I removed from spam yesterday was humbling. If what you are saying is truth, and I strongly trust it is, there are a lot of us, taking one to know one.
The information you put on your blog this week is the unfolding of the way back home. I went to a few mainstream articles on the subject and was astonishing how little is revealed. The "journalists" obviously do not even visit the scene or begin to address the magnitude. You'd think our role as reader is to sit back and comfortably accept the treason of withholding critical information, which of course, it is.

Hey this is interesting to me. I live a little over an hour from the Ocala National Forest and a guy from Orlando says he got stuck there recently and a Sasquatch hit hin on the leg with a rock. It had a baby with it also.

When I was about 16 years old, myself and a friend would go miles in the forest and camp out. It has the usual, rattlesnakes, crocagators, bears, and an occasional Florida panther. Nothing ever bothered us however except the skunks. They can make you clear the camping area very fast.

I tend to believe this story because all my life I have heard stories of people talking about something like big foot in the Florida wilderness areas. This has gone on for decades.

Packing for the Rock and the continuing adventure with tropical Livity.

Checking in to Nina's camp.

A regular Rastafari snowbird! You escape Issac and the hottest summer on record. I'll be very interested to hear how Camp Independence weathered in your absence and how the I adjusts to home. The pups are going to go crazy to see you. the more love the better, right?

In doing so, they reflect their agenda. If a person has no control over what comes out of their mouths, they have no humility.
