."..The next time you find yourself sitting in traffic, take a good look at your surroundings, take note of the decals emblazoned in obese fonts with neon hues on westerners' windsheilds, "American Patriot", "I'm not a bitch, I'm THE Bitch" or the rednecks' fave, bin Laden pissing. These indicate a desperation to stand out among the writhing masses, wouldn't you say, a loneliness so severe that attention is drawn by means of annoying hapless passersby? You might also say its obvious they have no identity anymore (if they ever had any to begin with) and obscene decals are the best they could scrabble together in saying "I am alive, look at me, I count dammit!" ..."
... Overpopulators who in elbowing their ways through the journey atop Nascar rated tires or encased in overpriced lookalike cages behind gated walls, the cabs and carriers of which include amenities such as surrogate identity where none actually exists, rooms and inhabitants displaying various cult features such as fashion. style, cosmetic surgery, meaningless logos and rude decals, never used tourbus campers, accessorized show pets, sculpture for the stupid tipped over on the tiny lawns and so forth which when distilled are banners hovering above their bodies as cartoon thought bubbles since the verbal skills of these cage dwellers are limited to uninspired overused phrases meted out under stress with matching facial expression instead of the age old middle finger hand signal which could, if employed outside the safety of shatterproof glass, bring on drastically unintended consequences. For example, our mridang master met up with one of these PDO cultists last week, here is his description of the experience:
"On the 20th, in town, I was flipped off, cut off and almost rammed by a woman tearing in the exit to get in front of me at the gas pump. As she calmly got out I asked what the problem was. My eyes met the most icy cold, nobody-home, face I've seen in a long time. I was told to 'have a nice day'. Maybe I just don't get out much, and this is the new normal? Heavily meded-up was my take, and too close to the edge for me to pursue it further, as it was already disturbing enough...."
Hey, good move my man! Too close to the edge indeed. Call in the Astrologers or perhaps this event was yet another training exercise...
Shall we translate his tongue-tied aggressor's meaning behind "Have a nice day", under those circumstances? How about heated guilt? Guilt so pure and intensely felt inside it burned in a wildfire of panic. Caught, the pretender of rights to the pump was instantly reduced to a cheesy four words - words only used in that particular way by all the other countless guilty who know perfectly well they have destroyed your peace of mind by initiating deliberately violent and dangerous action proving for all who happen to be passing by, whatever they are doing is of more importance than whatever you could possibly be doing and are rendered speechless when the unexpected and unknown consequences of their reprehensible behavior suddenly confronts them face to face. "Have a nice day" means Go away. I have no explanation for my actions, I don't even know why I did what I did. I can't apologize because that would give you (and me) living proof I was wrong. Had it been anyone other than our musician confronting her, you can be certain she was aware her behavior was setting the stage for violence. She took a wild gamble there and lucky for her, walked away to continue ruining the days of whomever else was so unfortunate as to be in her path. I'm sure you've met plenty of these kinds of people, we all have, it is unavoidable, especially now as many of them have been born into a world ripped asunder, minus any comprehension of what exists inside themselves and others or even a shred of vague curiosity why the world is what it is today. To question is to risk exposure. They run the gauntlet and take their gambles and often lose, the losses piling high in their wake. And when they don't lose, they still lose, because living a life in this manner makes them no friends. There is something about being behind the wheel or any imaginary shield that ignites these wannabeWetikos like nothing else because out in the open they become sniveling cowards either looking for the nearest escape or threatening with a show of imaginary protections referring to friends in high places, but when you're looking at them, they are accompanied by no one. Who could stand them? They don't even like each other and are so worried their children won't turn out exactly like themselves, the kids are forced to stay indoors, losing their own curiosity and adding pounds watching candy bars broken in half and magically sealed back together on the wide screen.
Sad to say, I've been coming across this kind of thing too much. I try to stay apart, while being there with others, but alert, you never know what triggers another person's unsuspected anger. Of course, this is not always the case, but it has happened enough in these times to be a recurrent phenomena. However long and however well you think you might know someone, there is still a hidden, rather low level potential, you could, completely accidentally, set them off. When that happens, you never forget, whatever you thought you had previous to that moment is gone, the trust betrayed. The trust I am speaking about is a trust that we accept the totality of others, their baggage, their flaws, their bond with us until it is exposed as one sided, which isn't a bond at all. Regardless of how fully we might join in smothering the outburst and make a long drawn-out show of loyalty, in your own mind and memory, the scene lives on. You may think others have long overlooked your lapses too, but from your own experience, you know it is impossible and you can only hope the passage of time brings opportunities where you or she/he show themselves a better man than that deep, dark, secret memory you have of a seemingly out of character event. Note it works not only both ways, but from an intermingling of angles. If you notice it happening repeatedly, you will eventually be forced to confront yourself, asking what are you in it for anyway? Some know exactly why they engineer face to face crisis. The Wetikos and their vain admirers play us like pianos, confident that following a successful guilt-inducing punishment, if you are still present, still forgiving, you are no threat to their existence. One might think they take it for granted no one is paying attention to the dynamic or how it charts itself in the memory-bank. Over and over I see it going down, day after day, night after night, the same scenes enacted by countless human beings refusing to see the reality of what is happening, what they are doing, stumbling over the damage left in the wake of continuing crisis, poisoned to the gills from a steady diet of pesticides, loaded on mind glazing drugs, oblivious to the tortures they inflict and are being inflicted upon them. They are far beyond caring. What's more, they do not want you to point it out to them either, they already know they are in so deep there can be no escape during their lifetime.
I cannot imagine a life spent like that, can you? They might as well just be lifers on the chain gang cultivating your crops. We like to think somewhere down the road the human underneath will show up, but there is no evidence such a folly ever takes place. That would be like hoping Jerry Sandusky mends his ways or George Zimmerman feels remorse. Ladies and gentlemen, there is a breed out there that has no humanity and has laid claim to entire lifetimes without sensitivity, sorrow, suffering, love or compassion. They have learned to blend in order to thrive and thrive at your expense they will. This breed is one of the worst effects of overpopulation because you cannot avoid meeting up with them in crowds. Avoid crowds. Stay aware of your surroundings and keep a low profile. This breed thrives in a pampered and corrupt culture based on worship of the self. In this way, you could call them vampires - energized by the blood of innocents.
We can also say Great Fortune shined upon our beloved musician while being shown the existence of this breed. The fact the remainder of his day turned out so well, not to mention void of conflict escalation, speaks highly of his self-control. That is a self-control we would all be wise to emulate. Considering the bigger picture, with all its extending pressures and disappointments, the undeniable angst of a planet under siege, the refusal to address responsibility for extinction events immediately under way is leading westerners from denial and refusal into violence as if civility no longer matters. To say civility has no place, is saying there is no love. There will always be love, my friends. No matter how unwieldy it gets, how freaky, how strange, how cruel, humiliating, devastating and physically painful, the one thing we can always count on is Love. Love always wins.
I leave you with a link to an alarming report, Global Warming's Terrifying New Math, written by Bill McKibben and published for the August 2012 edition of Rolling Stone. I am sure some of you have seen it already. The fact that this piece was made available in that publication tells us citizens are meant to see it, share it and lose their cool over it. Isn't that what Wetikos really want? Ah, but I've got news for them, the majority of readers will be concerned only until the next personalized blinking ad grabs their eyes.
"... This record of failure means we know a lot about what strategies don't work. Green groups, for instance, have spent a lot of time trying to change individual lifestyles: the iconic twisty light bulb has been installed by the millions, but so have a new generation of energy-sucking flatscreen TVs. Most of us are fundamentally ambivalent about going green: We like cheap flights to warm places, and we're certainly not going to give them up if everyone else is still taking them. Since all of us are in some way the beneficiaries of cheap fossil fuel, tackling climate change has been like trying to build a movement against yourself – it's as if the gay-rights movement had to be constructed entirely from evangelical preachers, or the abolition movement from slaveholders. ..."

The physical world is just a mirror of a deeper intelligence. Intelligence is the invisible organizer of all matter and energy, and since a portion of this intelligence resides in you, you share in the organizing power of the cosmos. Because you are inseparably linked to everything, you cannot afford to foul the planet's air and water. But at a deeper level, you cannot afford to live with a toxic mind, because every thought makes an impression on the whole field of intelligence. Living in balance and purity is the highest good for you and the Earth.
Good post.

Commenter one, thank you for those words. Long felt on a visceral level, never actually expressed. 100% agreement.
backatchyu Aang, you do inspire!
Nice posting, Nina. It was an eye-opener to read of Bholanath's encounter on the mean streets, as I had a VERY similar encounter myself with the same sort of ending (detailed in my latest blog posting if anyone is curious).
They are everywhere, those who prefer to barge their way through existence caring not one bit for the damage left in their wake. Some may finally meet up with another willing to go there with them, and then a nice day will be out of the question for all involved. Not my job to do that anymore. It is a trap of sorts, and is seen very clearly as such.
There is still a part that wants to engage, but a larger part emerges that sees that these people are suffering their own kind of punishment by carrying around whatever it is that allows such outbursts. Must be absolutely miserable to be that much of a bitch/dick. Their time will come I suppose, but it sure makes it tough sometimes just to move along with peace and tranquility.
I still want to know how that title pic was created......
A "trap" is good, so is a "test". Both far too risky to get involved. Another thing is we don't know who is packing what anymore. This is what happens when we have lobbyists instead of government.
***
About the picture, it is a "set" which you would discover naturally in the process IF you and your daughter make a short film of her works with your musical accompaniment. Leave all the visuals up to her. Even a running slide show with your acoustics will do it and also serve as a beautiful portfolio, which is the best way for her to go. Although, I'd like to see it published and appreciated.
Commenter #1 says: you are welcome
"Yet another training exercise..." heh heh...I almost sprayed my Lhasa Beer on the keyboard here! (Ingredients: Himalayan spring water, Tibetan barley, Saaz hops...I'm 'celebrating' - my solar return today - 66 of 'em so far.)
I'm so glad you put these thoughts down since they are exactly what rushed through my mind in the resultant 5 minutes following the 'encounter'.
For sure, the 'packing' possibilities were forefront on my mind, it being last Friday the 20th. But I actually spoke one more thing (which I didn't mention) as I self-observed my level of self-control and heart-rate, heh.
"Big lesson soon come!" - my answer to 'have a day'.
Guess I was just feeling a bit generous, ya know, that ruthless love thing. (I know love really pisses off the wetikos.)
Thanks, Nina, for this most excellent 'nailage'.

A comment by Killing Mother, yesterday:
"My theory is one of unnatural selection. All of the normal people have been wiped out by the destructive, dominating sociopaths over the past several thousand years, leaving us with a most unfortunate gene pool..."
Have to admit, a part of me wants to say to these types of entities "thanks for positively ID-ing yourself; now follow me, your cage at the wetiko zoo has been prepared".
HAPPY BIRTHDAY Mister Ruru Nath!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG, sychronicity. You are so loved. Our world is better because of you.
I agree with KMom, very astute. She runs a most lovely, intelligent household.
Just minutes before coming here Nina and seeing/reading your new missive, I did a couple of related post ( sycronicity/coincidence? ) at the Trout Clan regarding a very similar theme to what you have discussed. Just a hint, someone at Deep Creek Hot Springs when I was there this last saturday said to me and another regular I was chatting with, " I need to kill someone here today ".
Now that is roughly what he said as I don't remember this drunken young man's exact words ( he did say the same twice ), and he did have tucked in his shorts band a rather large knife. He then looked down as if lost in a drunken haze, then looked up and said to us that we were not the ones that would have to be killed.
And then in another part of your post Nina, you wrote " what are you in it for anyway? ", after a lifetime of interaction with my brother ( my only sibling ), I am now in the circumstance of asking myself that very question about my relationship with him. Its gotten to the point that there is no joy in knowing or spending time with him anymore.
After a breif two e-mails sent to my brother back in January, where in the first I was expressing basically to things, my dismay that he had in recent years closed his home to anyone, and my observation the he had evolved his various experessions to citing his, to my mind, " assumptions " as being certitudes, as in one manner exemplified in his recent writtings by ending paragraphs with the word " period ", meaning essentially you the reader need not bother questioning any of this I just cited, because what ever you think, if contrary to my postion is wrong, and I am right, " period ".
Well that was back at the beginning of January and I have not spoken to him since. His life is now completely enveloped in a never ending circle of negative expressions, to such an extent that it excludes pretty much everything else from his life.
Its shocking and sad for me, this situation, but it is what it is and I know I just have to learn to live with it since I don't have any real confidence that his mindset will improve, especially as he further and further isolates himself.
And lastly, regarding that last excerpt from the global warming article, I would agree with those sentiments too. It reminds me of a recent post I did at the Trout Clan where I wrote about Jaque Coustea and his warnings about the ocean. But despite his and others efforts our seas are in a much more degraded state, for many of the same basic reasons as discussed in that global warming excerpt. Change on the large scale will only occur as a matter of forced conditions when it comes to the large coverging negative trends of our time.
My sympathies are with you HSW. We've got people coming over and I must run and do the food, will be back after and have much more to say to you.
My family is exactly the opposite, having had our father murdered and our mother taken by Alzheimers. So we're a tight bunch. But that was always the case.
This person bothering you at the creek is very disturbing. Praise Jah you were not harmed.
Much love and deep gratitude for your safety.
A family member whom I love, let me know that the construction project that she is on (a court house) opened - she was telling about the incarcerated humanity that she saw walking around in chains. The law givers, the 'judges' were all supported by 3 'strong man supporters' each, also in 'chains'. The chains that the weapons hang from.
A friend wrote today, asking for prayers. There has been break-ins and violent action by gangs in her quiet neighborhood and she became scared.
I don't know what this all amounts to really. I do know there is a reason why things are breaking down to this extent. Wetico's being a great part of it - souls, even diseased ones, torn asunder violently from consciousness before time.
I've been in a pitched battle with weticos for some years now. It is worth fighting this one.
Just btw, I don't yet subscribe to the thing of overpopulation. Go and do some simple math if you are interested. Get the total size of planetary ground area, cut this in half just for shits and grins, and then see how many acres per person, current world population is left.
Majorly poignant work in Bho's link. A big fat hug and kiss and oodles of love to you! And I still just bow my head a little! To You!
hello friend. I went to the woods, to the art and to the garden. I barely blog, killed the TV, and never try and change minds anymore. Im better for it; much has been accomplished around here. This fall, I will study fly fishing and orientation: my goal is to become very comfortable in the Cohutta WIlderness. It doesnt matter anymore about cold icy stares. Its a frozen wasteland of the collective soul sweltering in a new hot zone normal and I cant do shit about it.
cept what #1 said.
I read arthur seibler yesterday, thought of you and came over.
i have a story. Back in april, my brother and I were in my sisters town for a visit. we were at a stop light about to turn right, when this little truck comes screaming over making a left turn from across the intersection into the lane we were about to turn into.
my brother hit the brakes, and the truck sped before us, with the passenger flipping us off and yelling at us from the window. I can still visualize her distorted lips of rage. we watched them pull into a restaurant a little ways past the intersection. My brother looked at me in confused wonderment, looked at me and asked "should we take that?" "No" said I, starting to vibrate with gleeful anticipation.
see, my bro is a bone fide bad. ass. and looks like it. So when these smart asses in the truck (a boy and a girl, both somewhere in theie early 20's looked like) saw him pull behind their truck and into the driver side (so as to block them from running or walking past) you could see actual fear on their faces.
Bro is 6 3, has a long willie nelson style pony tail down his back, a grizzled face and just enough age to have a salt and pepper beard. he slowly got out, walked over to the truck and told the kid to get out. the girl had slunk waaaaay down in the seat - i could barely see the top of her head.
the kid didnt get out. the doors were locked.
"get out, or I will pry you out with a crowbar"
I giggled. (i knew that would never happen) the kid got out.
Brother proceeded to give the child a lesson in etiquette in the "calm deliberate scary voice" and some advice on how dangerous a chick who "writes checks you cant cash" can be. he let them off with a warning....I couldnt stop laughing.
I bet they dont do shit like that anymore.
and this is the most I have written on the internets for three months.
are you well? still in the desert? still taking the rock buggy out to fill the artist's eyes? you have all you need to make art?
I think of you often.
I will be in Half Moon Bay CA in two weeks for 10 days/ 2 weeks. If you are close, I will find you.
love to everyone here.

Nina, Bexar over at the Trout Clan put up this link to an article with more dire information about our drastically changing climate, along the same vein as that discussed in the global warming link you included in your post:

With Sudden Greenland Ice Melt, Reiterating Declaration Of
Planetary Ecological Emergency
Hello Nina....another fine thought provoking work!
Violence today is one word or one action away....the scary part of the equation is asocial vs. antisocial behavior!
I would like to share this book for possible consideration in the lending library.....http://unicusmagazine.com/PDF/the_enlightenment.pdf.
My best to all!
Work on forgiveness and meditate on joy no matter what is occurring around you. You don’t always feel as if you have direct control of what is outside of you, so control the thoughts that occur inside your mind. Once that starts happening, you’ll find your energy attracts more of the same thoughts to you through like-minded people and situations, and then the environment you find yourself in becomes less toxic. You’ll also find that people you once gravitated to no longer feel right to you, and it may cause you to make some difficult choices about friends who might now feel somehow toxic. That’s okay. Change is okay. Life is not meant to be static, it’s a constant flow of change and sometimes this applies to people. Sometimes it even applies to our closest family members. Just remember that your health comes first and is your responsibility. Without it we’re good to no one, including our big blue planet that revolves under our feet and depends on us to tread lightly…especially with the energy we share.
Thanks for making me more aware of my unconsciousness. I need to comment on population growth relative to available resources.
I was 11 when reading The Population Bomb. Being who I am, first born product of semiconscious breeding, it's simple to see inevitability in Erlichs projections. '69 seemed to have totally hypnotized most to the saving graces of technology. Just before mushrooms or mass environmental "wait a minute, something stinks" wake up. We didn't form work crews or develop co ops to ensure the revelation was cultivated. We mostly went back to sleep. I wouldn't buy "look at all that empty land" rhetoric. When I'm thirsty, land means zilch. When I can't bear foul air, dustifying land into techno incubators and coops for breeding tax drivers means even less. Everyone believes technology could fix anything and feed many more than Erlichs research suggested.
43 years later things have morphed aka "All Things Must Pass" artwork. Outsides increasingly crammed and our individuality's shaped and mortered into familiar interior structures or walls. Actually has been for decades.
Watching granddaughter fawn over babies like mommy is challenging. One could almost believe this impulse instinctual without decades of carefully observing behavioral tendencies imprinted by environmental choices of parents.
If someone experiences crowd scenes unconciously, unequipped or unprepared it's a Z rated phantasm of assimilation technology. Likely result being massive total shutdown. Now that I'm downtown, locked down and shutdown, it might be easier to observe a big big show?
We're presently existing near a big city in that big state. Parched land stretches hundreds of miles in most directions. Water from tap, shower, car wash, sprinkler systems and it's reservoir used for speedboats smells of algae bloom in a porta potty. The municipal provider lauds this as "Superior water" We're highly grateful for drinking water purification technology and convenient excuse to avoid showers.
So much for "look at all the empty land". There's a reason it may stay empty eh?
Now if we could just melt those icebergs. . .
Rain Waters, still alive
Listen up Amarynth, Unknown is talking fact. Your math is accurate, but deceiving. As a global gypsy yourself having lived universally, I'm just reminding you of that truth. Today as I read these comments and post one, breathing air fit for New England's coal furnaces, I cannot see a future for human life in these godawful temps. And these kinds of places are commonly inhabited by huge populations scrabbling to pay through the teeth for all sorts of sci fi doodads to maintain life as it become even more unweildy to mangage the complex spaghetti networks of hoses sucking off the Colorado River while recurring farmland droughts can only produce 40% of crops expected to somehow maintain 100% of the population?
We can't live in the Alps. We can't live in the swamps. We can't live on land that only supports predator foliage designed to outdrink all other species. We can't live on sand dunes. We can't live on the oceans. But we can live in all of those places for as long as it takes for hypothermia or skin cancer or dehydration or starvation to kick us out.
To paraphraase bholanthah's line "Big lesson soon come", big lesson is here now, big revolution soon come if not already underway.
The Unbearable Waves of Heat "...The heat wave has helped convince tens of millions of Americans that climate change is real, overpowering the fake science and right-wing media – funded by corporate cash – to convince Americans otherwise. ... working people have finally made up their mind. A recent poll showed that70 percent of Americans now believe that climate change is real, up from 52 percent in 2010. And a growing number of people are recognizing that the warming of the planet is caused by human activity. ..."

Chickory, I agree, you are better off now than previously, there is a sort of radiance coming through your comment.
I'm back in the city, preparing for 2 shows. The interesting part of being here is the 3D panorama of opposites taking place, the middle class doesn't seem to exist, there is nonstop drama on and above the ground. Who needs the news when its all documented by reality.
Give the goats love pats from me and please send pictures. You are going to have a very special visit because you already know the runnings. Be safe missy. XO2U2 Jah Guide
Hmmm every time I go to write something,,,this horrible thought goes through my mind that you mean I am Wetiko, nina
It's ok if you do think that, have no problems,,,
If you are thinking that though you have to tell me straight as otherwise I have no idea,,,,
So please can you
The stuff I said over on dark cloud post was just meant to be stupid and funny,,,nothing more
Anyway respects ...... Neil
Nina, yes, it breaks hearts and creates a anger in me because I have no ability to respond to this problem in a way that I would wish to, excepting in a very small way.
The numbers were given as quick starting point example that helped me a lot sometime in the past just to get the thinking process started. They were not intended to be frivolous or misleading but simply a gross starting point. Yes, much is wrong with those numbers. Yet, if one approaches this topic purely numerically, you've already lost it, in terms of valid conclusions.
Yes there is no way in hell that we can maintain anything approaching an ecological or world population equilibrium or future focus - with the current way of things - climate change and weticos included. Something has to give. Climate change is very real in terms of what I have experienced and seen and planted and watered and harvested with my own hands.
Is there hope?
Do we really have an idea, given the age of our world, what is normal? Do we truly understand the natural cycles, the ebbs and flows, and how many the earth has sustained in eons past? We've only been around a short time. What is 'normal'? What is right? For us, it seems apocalyptic is, and will be, 'normal'. To tie up with a 'so above, so below' theme, David Icke helped me with some descriptive words - we are witnesses to the 'play-out level' of reality.
A few examples on the overpopulation topic follow: This is not meant to bump heads or create further chasms or disagreements. It is simply intended as investigation and conversation. Yes, I am listening up (grins).

- The documentary about the Kogi. Somewhere in the beginning there are glimpses to how many they sustained whilst following a 'living right' methodology:
http://dancewithdestinydocumentary.com/component/content/article/35-
wise-counsel/60-the-mamos.html
and
from Permaculture, Greening the Desert with the updates:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sohI6vnWZmk
The thing of overpopulation - it becomes so personal. My thinking goes into paroxysms asking ... who? who? which person, which child is 'overpopulated'? I look at the people around me, and at myself, trying to determine the 'who' of the overpopulation and then I see the faces and then I have nightmares.
- There is a recent documentary somewhere and I cannot find it now, looking at why the Mayan Civilization disappeared. Their density of population through Mexico and Guatemala rivaled what we see currently. This article has information:
http://www.aaanativearts.com/ancient-indians/mayan-mysteries.htm
It seems, and I will again search for the documentary, that simple deforestation was the main impact to cause the end this civilization.
- In addition there is what was for me two seminal works: William H Kotke with
The Final Empire: The Collapse of Civilization and the Seed of the Future,
and
Garden Planet: The Present Phase Change of The Human Species. (both on Amazon now but The Final Empire was freely available on the net for some years as no-one wanted to publish it - it may still be somewhere for download). He truly is a wonderful researcher with a thorough grasp and longitudinal view of this topic. He traces way way back why civilizations failed and how they handled their ecology to bring about their own demise. What it amounts to in the end is a vast rape and pillage of the natural resources that is necessary for human sustenance, in the main, earth and soil poverty with many causes, deforestation being one.
A note on 'empty land'. If left empty, the landscape creates itself. In partnership, human beings (permaculture views talking here), can live with the land in such a way as to enrich both. I've seen this, I've done this and I've lived this - with no harm to the neighbors and more than plenty to share.
With trust that these few notes brings us closer together. Perhaps stupidly, in my heart and from my heart, a Garden Planet in all its aspects, humans included, is not only feasible, but truly possible. Do I want to stick around for that? It is close to my heart. I still want to do that 'play with the lions' thing.
Hold on there fella, you are tripping down a blind alley! Please neil, do not do me such disservice as to doubt my appreciation of you.
I suspect you are feeling social guilt which is culturally enforced self-condemnation. All of it is false. Rise above it. You are loved.
neil, more: you made me laugh, too sweet and very sensitive, you are a rare treasure, everything is fine.
Normal?!?
That's a good one. Define "normal" as it pertains to climate over the course of this planet's history.....
There was a good reason that it was uninhabited for so long - it wasn't habitable.
Yep, it is hot. And cold. Depends on where your feet are planted right now. Why is the weather like it "normally" is? Why would we expect it to be? Hey, the Sun is fully awakened again after a slumber. It would appear that volcanic and seismic activity is up, too. Mother is doing some evolving it would seem.
All I know is that it is likely NOTHING remains constant over a long period of time. Why should it? Don't we always go on about "evolving" or "progressing"?
Do people expect our economy to go back to the way it was in the 90's, too? Is that considered "normal"? It was all an illusion of wealth created by speculation and credit. How can employment numbers get back to where they were - IT WASN"T REAL!!!!!!
Sorry if I sound testy, but it just blows my mind when people expect everything to remain constant. That sounds boring anyway.
Love the comments here.
Got it nina,,,,and I never think of you like that ever anyway
Self guilt finished with,,,,
Oh and Wonky eyed jim also said the same thing
Big huge smiles to all
And sorry for being an idiot,,,,,,neil
Oh and some-one said I was the devil this week,That may of had something to do with it aswell.... neil
Nina,
I recently bought a documentary DVD out of a $2.99 bin at the grocery store of previously viewed videos. It is called "Cool It." We watched it last night, and it was very thought-provoking. Really challenges the conventional scientists' take on global warming. He doesn't deny global warming, but he does analyze the cost-benefits of "green" alternatives. Cap and trade, for example is pretty much discredited. Cheap, low tech responses like painting the roofs of buildings white to reflect heat from them, also lightening the asphalt on streets, planting lots of trees, etc. is much more effective than putting billions into reducing greenhouse gasses that are projected to only reduce the temperature by a fraction of a degree in a hundred years.
Anyway, I suggest keeping your eyes open for it and keeping an open mind. The guy has good points, but also could fit in nicely with Agenda 21 and One World Government, run by corporations, which would suck.
On a happier note, I just picked a whole basket full of snow and snap peas. Yea!
Anon #1. "Intelligence is the invisible organizer of all matter..." I believe that as well. I studied Science of Mind for 5 years - and that was the premise for it all.
Hey Neil, you could't be the D'evil. Unless he/she/it can be in more places than one. Had to walk down the hill and away from such manifestation recently. In a nice riverside Inn now, eagles, cranes, bears and cougars. Just as they were for millions of years.
The converstaion between the UN and Pan is going to be interesting Sistrin. The Chlorophyll and Haemoglobin allies cheering on Livity.

Hello nina ...seems to be the first entry on your search...free pdf..the enlightenment by Dr. Holmes
...The woods are full of deer this year and I saw a doe this morning with a badley broken leg...would have put it out of it's misery, however she has a white spotted fawn and I will have to let nature take her course...there has also been a black bobcat seen in our area..I'm thinking it could be a lynx!
...still chopping wood and carrying water...onelove
Harmonys and gratitude
Emanated calm
Vibrated inner living
Beauty's ancient charms
Amplifying all things
Brushing through the streams
Tracks across the universe
Hearts are made of beams
weaving luminosity
Riding through the change
Flying Inner sentient
Glowing living flame
drifting through the waters
Ripples of sublime
A rose of pure beginning
Opens hearts and shine

Poem nina and big smile,,,,
The other day I saw a huge pickup truck with some messages emblazoned on the tailgate. One said "Red White and Blue To the Bone" and the other was some kind of a challenge that said something about "your punk ass!" I thought it was really stunningly stupid and hostile and aimed out at the public generally. I actually doubled back around to get a better look at it and try to catch a glimpse of who was driving, but they were not in evidence. But they are in the Hopland volunteer fire dept., so I know where to find them. They certainly are "writing a lot of checks" that I doubt they can cash.
Brian
If they could only see themselves as others see them, especially as visitors from other countries see them.
Actually Brian, these hostile decals we see have a beneficial effect on certain human beings, its an immediate shock of awareness how sick and offensive our culture is. And the shock is so intense it has a way of taking the viewer into an immediate and rather long lasting state of enlightenment. I'm sure you have experienced this.
I always appreciate a great article or piece of writing. Thanks for the contribution.
i love the header image. so ancient, powerful and transforming.
