One War

Recently I commented on Smoking Mirrors that I no longer visited sites that stopped posting Visible's work. Ah, but that didn't include Donald Hunt's economic essays. And now, here I am exposing myself as, errrr, a liar-by-omission because I neglected to include this very disclaimer in my comment. Actually, at the time I made that comment, I was sincere, but the global financial crisis is such a Rubik's Cube of torture in the war on the little people's survival in this world, I consider it a principle element of our own survival strategies to try to understand it, as much as we can understand something that morphs and feeds and grows into full blown indiscriminate evil with increasing opacity in rhythm with humanity's heartbeat.

While we are gathering wood or fertilizing our soils or documenting the last remaining open spaces of the 19th and 20th centuries, there will be times you will ask yourself what happened or what could possibly come next and after that, and that, and that. Still, despite reading, talking, looking at it, breathing it, I'm just as much in the dark as anybody.

My dual loyalty would then be to the truth and to survival. No blame.

I have no idea why Sott has Donald Hunt's works co-authored by Simon Davies now. It seems that pairing came around when they achieved their funding goal, coincidentally while dumping Smoking Mirrors. They used to have a forum too, which also appears to have been eliminated in the restructuring. One of the few times I posted there was during the early Laurel Canyon series in which I trashed it as incredibly myopic and regional crack-crazed gossip driven by McGowan's moral lens of six degrees of false desire. Regardless, I still check in once a week to read Mr. Hunt's spectacular analyses. Mr. Hunt, BTW, came to my defense on that thread, apparently he was there too. Truth is his sword and only the truth. What we can learn from Wednesday's entry is dire. And what's more, as we read along, we know this is what is happening, but because we are the little people, pounded with news designed just for little people, you'll be hard pressed to find this kind of analysis coming from certain journalists who like Sott perhaps, are beholden to to keep themselves alive in whatever manner to which they are accustomed by claiming they "provide a service". The little people mostly forgive them, what do they know anyway, and go right on reading and funneling their severance pay into the paypal vacuum bag.

If we were to synthesize most of what is being written and read, we could liken it to press releases from the Illusion, a huge, superpower colony consisting of perhaps aliens, or not, with technologies we cannot begin to conceive.

There are two worlds.

There exists the world of the truth, our real world, and the world of the Illusion. The Illusion, for example has its celebrities, its uniforms and its groupies, its insurances, institutions, its history, its military security complex, its money economy, "F.I.R.E.", its laws and its law enforcement, its corporations, its reams of forms and complicity agreements, its medical/pharmaceutical universe, its agriprocessors, its slogans and logos and its endlessly self-replicating spawn of byproduct offspring. Yes, there's plenty more, but you get the idea. We could, if we think about it long enough, perhaps see it as one all-encompassing system powered by false desire, i.e.; money and ego.

Plenty of people work very hard overcoming obstacles trying in vain to keep one foot in both worlds. They choose to believe it can be done and after all, for these people it must be done since they believe they have no other option. They have grown dependent on false belief which can be defined as false hope. The Illusion specializes in not being there when you actually have a need for their advertised services, like that moment when your computer breaks down, like those moments when some consumed merchandise proves itself defective and the warranty (forms/insurance/agreements/logos) expired. Oh, but they can always be found yukking it up with pole dancers weaving in the background at the pizzeria chowing down a few oversized submarines while outdoing one another imagining new and evermore clever ways to hijack the soul of the little people. One thing they seem to do on a regular basis is merge by swallowing themselves and reappearing in disguise. Kweisi Mfume famously noted "When they are tired of arguing with you, they send in someone who looks just like you to finish it off."

The little people, at last count, are losing the battle. If they are not running for cover from white phosphorus, they are glued to barstools accelerating their internet connections. This is a sad fact, but only one out of perhaps millions and billions of sadder facts. As Don Roberston put it "... The truth is, the empirical creations that give sustenance to our existence are all coming undone ... "

Then what, now, is the difference between our depressions and the Depression? A stimulus package and an antidepressant? Does the Illusion have the dough to back up its desire? If yes, the jig is up.

Damn, I keep looking up at the underside of the toilet seat as I spin around...and around...and around......and it needs cleaning..will this be my last thought before I go under.
I have been going through some of the same thoughts lately Nina--even going to the "fray" and dancing around for a bit only helped a little--didn't accomplish anything other than seeing my words show up on the page--

I don't really go back and forth, where I am is where I am yet more seems to keep coming onto my plate that I didn't order--just when i think I am gaining some ground or insight something slaps me in the back of the head and I'm never quite quick enough to turn around and see what it was....much better now though than if I had to do the same even a year ago--is that all there is...handling it better...letting more slide off--so much for my individual enlightenment...I have my moments but I'm having trouble with that "with regularity" thing......

I don't even really know where to go from here but just wanted to drop you a line--

I'll stop back later and re-read and comment with some clarity--hopefully...

This has been on your mind too? I don't doubt it. I think we're not alone Jj. Did you read the links? Donald's essay is intense, to put it mildly.
But what the hell else are we supposed to think? In my whole life I never saw such shenanigans and never even imagined I would.
Heh heh, how blind we were, and we really should have known better. All the clues were obvious in retrospect. I think, yes, handling it better, if one finds the means, and letting more slide away, a manner of slow torture, exemplifys our unerstanding of Phase Transition.
Eerily, it looks very much like a corporate marketing campaign with phased stages of project development where war, invasion, civil unrest, torture and worse are just parts of the presentation to woo investors and appease stockholders.

It goes back to something I have been thinking about also--we are not amazed or surprised by anything any more--good, or bad--we are all indifferent to so much--good or bad for us?, i don't know. Is it that we are bombarded by so much from around the world that it has lost all meaning--if there ever really was any in the first place--so much happening and we can barely control our own breathing space--We truly are the frogs put in the pan with the heat slowly turning up and it feels warm and cozy--americans especially are so apathetic--look at the protests around the rest of the world and we sit and do nothing about anything, not that it would do anything, heck, maybe we would get 2 MLK days a year--how nicely compartmentalized we have become--or perhaps always were--

Me, I'm just sitting here bitching to my friend Nina looking out the window at a spectacular landscape of snow and twinkling ice in the trees--amazing, and best of all, free for the looking--wood stove is cranking, got to -4F here this morning--supposed to warm up tom'w in time for the big game that I won't be watching--
Hopefully, more wood arriving today--stacked 2 cords yesterday--needs a little more seasoning but I could burn it if I had to--Mrs. Jj is over at our friends (left yesterday) who is going through a divorce from a psychopath helping her get papers together for her lawyer, etc. It's taking up a lot of her time, but it's a joy to watch her in action--lawyer, councilor, friend, confidant---our friend and I are blessed to have her--I am seriously thinking of getting a log splitter and another chain saw--don't have a strong enough truck to haul it, but I can sure cut it and stack it even if just for us--
I am looking no further than the edge of the yard here and seeing what has always been there for me to take in--it's that 150 monkeys thing--perhaps my minds reach has extended beyond my ability to truly take it in--151 monkeys maybe?
Yes, I did read the SOTT article and agree--it has all been planned like the company that makes a product and 5 minutes later has a "new and Improved" label all made up for when sales start to decline--same product, different packaging--

Jj

War appears to be just one phase of a larger strategy, a forceful sales tool, obviously not the goal in itself, and where there is one marketing campaign playing out, there are bound to be many others. How about the "clash of civilizations" resulting from unimpeded, global fascism as a side effect of too much/too many?

BTW, I hope Mrs. J has been successful. She is on a dangerous mission there. Its not likely to go away anytime soon, it may appear to be over with, but psychopaths usually come creeping 'round again through subliminal invitation...

Wise words Nina--it will never be over as long as he is alive. He has turned the 12 year old son against the mother and is working on the other 2--so far most of what he does comes back to bite him in his punk-ass little bitch ass--also he reverse-mirrors everything he does so it's easy to see what he's up to--
We will remain vigilant and positive--so far he is telling the kids that their mom and Juli are lesbians and a host of other fun stuff--
Amusing and dangerous at the same time--kinda like life at times--

I saw a woman in a 1930's or 40's-style print dress standing with her back to me-her hair was in a bun of sorts yet you knew it was long if she let it down-she was looking at the house (at the top of your page) standing on what appears to be railroad tracks that for some reason had not "rusted" like the house had even though they had not been used in so long-- she seemed to be wondering what happened to the house that she was familiar with--she knew time had passed-yet she still felt, and looked younger--not sad or anything, just out of place somehow--then she was gone and I have no clue where she went.

Haunting, isn't it. There are new lessons to be learned every time we look. One out of many is mankind's inability to leave well enough alone. They gotta re-do, merge, re-merge, destroy, take over, start over, sweep clean, on and on. The railroads fought hard for the rights of passage then in the same way the banks and brokerages are fighting now.

"The more things change, the more they stay the same" ...

Its my favorite piece. What you saw, I saw her too. Making it was even more interesting than the final scene because there were so many little secrets that unfurled in the process - before the tracks were laid.

Juli back yet? May she have a will of iron. These domestic psychos have a creed to live by the sword, die by the sword.

Anonymous said...

She made it back late Saturday night--yep, she does have a will of iron, tempered with much wisdom--There is no way that our friend would have made it this far without her and she has my blessing all the way and all the help she needs--you read about these things and these psychopaths, but to see how they actually operate, it takes an army just to stay on top of things--I don't see how one person after 15 years of being brainwashed and totally controlled could do it without help. He is totally relentless in finding cracks and holes to continually ooze though-- all with absolutely no remorse or feeling--it's just all about the control and he is willing to do anything 24/7 365 to do it--but when he actually has to put up facts and truths, he fails miserably because his whole life is built flimsily on the last lie that he can't remember--sounds like so much of the world these days doesn't it--

Jj, it sounds like you've undertaken to battle one hell of a dragon. Best of luck in that ... at this point, from the sound of things, the children are in more danger than the mother, from a psychospiritual perspective. Best of luck with that.

I read that same SoTT essay. I never miss them, and yeah, this one was a doozy. It's all happening. And as above so below ... have you read the latest transcript from the C's? 2009 is going to be a "smashing" year....

I've been thinking a lot, lately, about the whole 'two worlds' thing. A lot of people have; it's funny how these zeitgeist things work. A particular train of thought will be working its way through my mind and lo! there it will appear in a stranger's conversation, an article read by happenstance ... or on a friend's blog. But then I guess it's all one mind so a train of thought in mine, will also be found in others....

Well. Two worlds, absolutely. One emanating from the Lie, another radiating towards Truth. There are the few and the powerful who have embraced the Lie, and the many who simply accept it. Accepting a single Great Lie is sufficient: inevitably, the web of lies will extend to cover one's whole reality in a surprisingly faithful facsimile, like a sort of film. At some point, however, the veil must inevitably lift, and in that moment some sort of truth can't help but be revealed a truth that's ... unpleasant, to put it mildly.

If too much is revealed too quickly, the horror might result in a madness that might be the closest thing a soul might be able to come to death. That's probably more or less the plan: the population of the planet realizing at once, en masse, the awful truth of the situation, that they are powerless slaves whose masters are depraved psychopaths, that the whole world's been shut in a global Cube and the minute you're no longer useful you'll be eliminated for either efficiency or sport. God only knows what they might do with the power the black magicians hope to gain through the mass trauma ... though if only God know, those who style themselves gods no doubt have ideas of their own....

Well, if nothing else we're beyond that, now. All of us reading here have been through our own personal unveiling, achieved a metanoia that allows us to perceive the world, not as we've been told it is, but as it might truly be. We see the conspiracies, the lies, the manipulations ... but we also see the cycles of history, the oneness of mind, and the essential truths, the cosmic laws, that we've been put here to discover. They're simple enough, it's just a matter of applying them and having some faith. But regardless of what paths our lives might follow, when the Big Event happens we won't be left in blank-minded terror as will be the dreamers. We won't be food for the Moon.

Fantastic post, Nina. And what's with the rabbit theme recently? Love the title on the most recent one. I laughed aloud, but there's a very serious message there, isn't there?

To read and weep ... The Globalisation of Addiction "... a cursory historical and cultural survey reveals that the incidence of addiction is essentially a social phenomenon. Many historical and indigenous cultures have lacked even the concept of addiction - but many of these same cultures, once their traditional structures have been disrupted by conquest or colonisation, have been destroyed by it. All across the Americas, the Pacific and Australia, hundreds of 'demoralised' cultures have descended into vicious spirals of addiction, usually to alcohol, in many tragic cases wiping themselves out entirely. The root causes of addiction, then, must run deeper than any individual pathology: they must be sought in a larger story of cultural malaise and 'poverty of the spirit' that forces individuals, often en masse, into desperate and dysfunctional coping strategies..."

But do they listen? We lost faith when the Iraq Study Group ran out of ideas. They pleaded, then went ahead and did exactly what they were already going to do.

Psychegram, interesting you note the rabbits. I didn't realize this was happening as regularly as you note and Susana noted as well, only that they are always physically around, night and day, no matter what else is going on.
I see them as blessings.

This guy is a microcosm of what we see going on in the world--he isolates (he had taken a job in Maine, in the middle of nowhere because he saw her support system growing) and expected her to come and homeschool the kids--again isolation for the kids too-that's when she dropped the bomb about the divorce--he showed up one night at her moms where she and the kids were staying taunting them from the driveway--he didn't know I was there, he probably thought it was just Juli--but there i was with a very good filed of view if you get my meaning--
So many similarities to the powers that be--he is smoke and mirrors except when dealing with children, the frail and elderly, and 90 pound women--I am none of the above however, and neither is Juli--He opened a business that his parents paid for never making more than 500.00 per month and staying in a cabin rent free that his parents owned and driving one of the parents cars and then blaming it all on her that they had no money--he tried to get her to go to work the day after she gave birth...the list goes on and on--he was in court this morning for being stupid enough to leave a threatening message on her moms phone--probably a fine and probation 1st degree misdemeanor-
The bright side is that he is a liar and in this divorce, he can't just bullshit, he has to come up with facts and he has none--
He actually has to work a real job now to pay for child support--funny thing is that he filed to have the child support reduced and like so many things it bit him in his scrawny ass and they actually increased it--
He has hired another attorney--his third--this guy is a pit bull and is known for dragging things out until the end of time--pinhead has just come into some money due to his fathers recent passing--which the world is better off for--so he has some cash in his pocket but he might as well throw it to the wind--fortunately, she has the best divorce lawyer around--and friends who are watching her back literally and figuratively--
So many doors of our own making and choosing yet when you are in the abyss, it's hard to imagine being anywhere else......

Jj, domestic violence fits right into cultural addictions. Fuel it with alcohol or drugs or hunger and displacement and you get perpetrators and victims both addicted to negative reinforcement. But need we limit addictition to domestic violence when violence in general utilizes the same energy, the same exposive urge to dominate and destroy? Recall the Haditha massacre or recall Charles Graner, former high level US prison guard turned Abu Ghraib ringleader. And then, aren't the real perps of violence, the "successful" psychopaths, the manipulators of less socially successful, outcasts by any other name, addict-puppets? The point being Haditha and related horrors are direct results of legal/socially mandated and manipulated addiction.
Its all related and shares a common root. Scooter Libby revealed this in his letter to an incarcerated Judy Miller when he used a meant-to-be-poetic metaphor of themselves as Aspens connected at the root.
This is what that administration did - they loosed rage. And now, we'd like to know, is it too late to put it back? Maybe it all has to come out roiling like Vesuvius? We would hope not, however I don't know. I'm just hanging on by threads like everybody else, but then, we're wearing sunglasses (the sun is always shining you know) and getting on with our personal survival plans.

Do you think people are generally on the fence and can go either way depending on what the majority of input/stimulus is?
I know that they do psych evals to know which ones will do anything they say--at least in the military--I assume they can do it now as they can track our buying habits from books to food ( i prefer to use cash), and everything in between--combine that with food additives, HAARP,big pharma, CT's, "illegal" drugs, alcohol--how the fuck did we stay relatively sane?
You and Michael are correct in the preparation part of things as far as being able to lay low and feed, clothe and generally nourish ourselves--Stacey talks about other means of "protection"--this thing is definitely not just coming, it's here--folks keep waiting for a defining moment and I think that is going to be withheld--the slow boil--
Some "opportunities" have arisen here that we have taken advantage of while we still have some money--just got our property tax bill for this half and felt like going down to the auditor and using my second amendment rights--it just never ends--I guess it's going to happen, it's just a matter of how you want to ride it out and what you are willing, not willing to do--or have done to you--
I hope others contribute to our little conversation here--I need more input from those whose opinions may not be the same as mine, but in whose hearts I trust--I do see this as some of us having different "missions", or objectives in how we go about the future and all it brings--
Some make or break times ahead--

It's my lazy Sunday afternoon; trying to catch up with you-all, not making much headway as I just spent the last hour reading the comments and the Donald Hunt essay that nina linked to. First I read the essay, then I came here ready to discuss economics, then I read the comments.

So I guess we are not talking about economics?

I've been swatting flies with a rolled-up newspaper today; lots of them here with the doors and windows open. Killed at least fifty already. To put some mind exercise behind the task, I decided to do it without emotion. Coolly killing flies. Purely efficient and just get the job done. Something about these tropical flies; they are really fast. The technique that works on Northern flies has little chance here; these have to be killed with a simple wrist-snap, no other motion or they are warned and get away.

Around twenty years ago a friend told me a story that he was told by a woman who was renting a room in his farmhouse. Midsummer, lots of animals around, and the flies were terrible. This woman didn't believe it was right to kill other living things, so she was trying various strategies, none of which were working. Being the mystical type, she decided to go into a deep meditative trance and contact the "fly deva".

So she did this, and at some point felt that she had made contact. So she told the deva of the flies "Your creatures are really bothering me. I don't want to have to kill them, but if they keep bothering me I will have no choice".

And in her mind the fly deva replied "Go ahead. Everyone else does, and there are plenty more where those came from".

Psychegram-

RE the Cassiopeans: I've been reading prophecies for many years, starting with Cayce when I was a teenager. I would have to conclude that they are all about equally useless, beyond the general idea that things are going to change.

The closest to an accurate prophecy that I have read would be the Protocols, which wasn't even a prophecy but rather a plan.

The Mayans predicted over a thousand years ago that on December 21, 2012, the Earth and Sun would line up with the center of the galaxy at sunrise on the Yucatan peninsula. That's not prophecy either, it's accurate astronomy.

Based on personal intuition and what I see when I ask for answers, my feeling is that none of these major disasters or Earth changes are going to happen. The Earth has already made the transition, it's only human consciousness that is lagging behind, and it is going to be human (and other) consciousness and human actions that will be the source of the challenges we have to deal with in the times ahead.

Here's my anti-prophecy: No pole shift, no comet impacts, no Yellowstone eruptions, no planet Niburu, no mile-high tsunamis, no ice-caps melting, no California sinking or Atlantis rising, no gamma-ray storm from the galactic center, no ET mass landing or invasion.

We will still have lots to keep us busy.

Nina the painting of Malcom and friend is absolutely beautiful. George, my one eeker looked at it and insisted he also wants to be painted. But he figures a pink background would suit him more. He is very masculine you know (he also has a cockney accent if that helps).

I heard a voice one day that called to me
And within that voice
I found my voice

I found friends of like mind
Individuals of character
Friends of wisdom
No more distant than their words—given freely
Shared
Eternal
Life giving

A place I had always been
A hope I had always dreamed
Now filling the air with the sweet music
Of truth

Buried beneath the crescendo of voices
Are the lies of the Ages
The professional liars
Shouted down
Cowering at what they had wrought
The abyss of their own creation
Turned now
Bearing down steadily
Their own words-suffocating them
Their own lies-crushing them

The white horse of truth
Riders all
Thundering down the hillside
Across the plains of deceit
Trampling everything in our path

We are many
From all lands
We ride with truth as our shield
Justice as our sword

Scimitar’s joining Sabers
Sabers joining Cutlass
Cutlass joining Wodao

We are the light Brigade
And it is YOUR valley of death
Reap your whirlwind
Choke on your deceit

We breathe freely and call each other brother
And sister—terms of honor you know not

Joyous in our simplicity and purpose
We will not play your shell game

We shall live the life we choose
With gratitude
And Joy
In Peace

Jj, that is one good poem there. Great visuals.

Truth is indeed what those whose existence is built on lies fear the most. Truth is the silver cross, sunlight, and garlic the vampires fear the most.

Wanted to throw in one more sword: the cuirass. Picked that up from my daughter the Latin major; pronounced queer-ass, it was always good for a classroom laugh.

I guess The Golden Compass is a movie now? I recall reading the first book in the series, and then reading some review putting the author down as an atheist. Any input on that? (keeping in mind who owns Hollywood.)

Nota, maybe I'd better get back to mirrors and see what's happening there. Too busy yesterday; lots going on with the agricultural end of things.

Nina, I have heard of racial karma, in reference to what happened to the New World Indians. i.e. they had it coming because they were the race of oppressors in Atlantis. I have also long favored the idea that one gets to reincarnate as whomever one hated the most in their past life. As in cowboys vs Indians, ever notice how much today's Indians like cowboy boots and clothes?

Australia is getting a big wake-up call and reality check for sure, whether it's karmic or not. I think that island has hit carrying capacity + and will need to do some re-thinking. Worth noting though is that Australian agriculture is much further along the path of sustainability than American agriculture is. While US and Canadian farmers continue to buy into the fakes and lies of the chemical corporations, much of Australian ag has embraced what works. Those surviving the drought are those who applied the new ideas years ago, and their neighbors are paying attention.
