picking up where we left off...

On the same page as our beloved and insightful, tell-it-like-it-is friend, Bho, I ask you who among us who does not feel the craziest days and nights of all time past and to come, are heaving themselves in front of us - so that we are forced against our will to feel the hot, foul breath of the beast, the stink of his burnt tongue from slurping the fires of Hell?  We are just simple people, never asking for, never imagining, never looking for the House of Horrors on a bright, sunny afternoon kicking back in essex green Adirondack chairs on the deck overlooking the perfect beauty of Nature.  I began to count concurrent events before my hiatus, but the events rolled themselves into what began as a series of global news stories, each international, previously unheard of www.slime.rag on overtime pushing details regardless how insignificant, or false, designed purely to inspire fear and loathing, and quickly grew into a Ripley's Believe it or Not, including immediate placement in the Guinness Book of Gargantuan, Stupid and Hypocritical Earth Shattering Records.  Now, today, and for evermore, in our remaining times among the living, a monster ball of dung trails the slouching beast, growing larger and heavier, squatting on our sad blue planet, surely she, blameless, is weeping tonight.

But her wrath is sly, her rope unlimited and she allows the Hominid species to simply hang themselves.

If you been readin' the news pages on your device of choice, you know what I'm sayin'.

It goes without question, life is about learning.  We who are aware we are always learning and accept what we experience as a teaching moment, good or bad, are able to draw on those lessons because these lessons are integral (our nature) and lifelong.  If those experiences are perceived without overstanding, or fleeting, or just never acknowledged at all, where would you be now?  Probably in a maximum security prison of your own making, certain you are innocent of whatever crime that put you there, you were just going along, caught up in your materialist fantasy, accepting of your entire current life situation on the Great Plantation when WHAM.  Something happened, could be anything, you know, but you don't know what happened because responsibility of any sort was never in your vernacular.

I didn't come into this observation recently.  It seems to grow in league with population stats so that everything strongly disagreeable, ridiculous, backwards, tragic, corrupt and evil multiplied exponentially, which should mean the antithesis multiplied exponentially also, but no, it did not happen as the TAO explains the natural balance of beauty and ugliness.  It meant instead, the heinous acts of the Yang overlapped its boundary into the Yin, in doing so, the balance undone, quaked, the axis spins wildly out of control.  One could, if mathematically inclined, actually calculate where all of this is going since it continues, unabated, nothing at all on the horizon impeding its excesses.

Sometimes we wonder how it came to be this way in the spare moments between events.  Is it genetic imbecility or is it unabated narcissism?  Or is it both and more?  I don't completely count out otherworldly.  Are we merely a proving ground, a coliseum for hostile aliens?

Scrapsan, I am just going to have to put that Wendell Berry comment in Road Maps. You force me to do it with the sheer power hidden in his simple statement. Thank you.

The header photo was taken last week on a journey into Mother's jewel box with my 21 y.o.nephew who seems ageless in his wonderful variety of appreciations, experiences and choices.

I do not think one could call down a whirlwind, or a wormhole, without somewhat wildly disparate realities.

Of course there is no consensus. How else could stuff trade places, and learn compassion?

Now, those who are hobos and pilgrims have to walk in many worlds. That would be a school without teachers, or at least any that do not stay elsewhere, mostly.

At least the last time the lines were drawn out literally.
With doorkeepers, and such. I guess since people spread out and multiplied, probably a bit more either or.

nina said...

My Dear Terrance et al: Last night I studied Turey's pictures very carefully and just have to remark on the lovely artwork going on with his architecture. In the photo with the hammock, and what is a hammock anyway but a place for rest and reflection, note the rhythm of the curved bars atop the weave, like waves in the sea or hills and valleys and then it all meets together to graduate into wheels within wheels and spokes. It's all very graceful and surely intentional.

It is amazing that constructing such a dwelling has only balanced (as you say) the land, nothing is stolen or depleted in the process. This is the definition of righteous. It is a Godly effort.

nina said...

Anonymous 1:02pm EDT, do you have a name? And could you please be a little more specific? Such as explaining to us when it was "the last time the lines were drawn out literally"?
I like the transience of "hobos and pilgrims" being an open school of life part. We can all identify with that.

Zoner said...

It is all so totally surreal "out there" that I have simply retreated within. Maybe that was the plan all along?

I really have to wonder how much of the "news" is completely fabricated? How would we know?

There is no doubt that humans are, indeed, fully capable of the insanity that appears across the screen, but it is hard to believe that the actions supposedly being taken are not pushed back on on a wide scale.

Bad theater. ABsurd even. I want my ticket refunded please...........

Much Love to you All.

nina said...

Maaaan, Z! Heavy. Same retreating here, we're calling it a hiatus. Breaking news as just a platform for ads.
One of multitudes of examples: Who in their right mind would send three thousand troops to fight Ebola when those troops at some point have to come back here.... and so forth. Etc., etc. Ebola, the silent ISIS.

Zoner said...

Not "just" Ebola, Nina - "new and improved" Ebola that does what it never has before!

Be afraid? Hell no. But there is a certain sadness that persists knowing that so many are in that state. Has to be a reason to keep ramping up the doom porn to such insane levels. Click-bait for revenue generation? Sounds like a wonderful by-produst.

I think it is to keep us in a low-vibration state which makes us easy to "steer". Nothing new here, I know, but that is what resonates most strongly.

So glad to see your words here again, along with the commentary it brings forth.

Zoner said...

I bet those Ebola virus thngies are a bitch to shoot though. I hope they sent the VERY best shooters to take them out........

When it can be seen through, as in absurdly transparent, the hand is badly overplayed. I suspect the majority of new arrivals on US soil never heard of the Truman Show and if they have, somehow, would have no regard for its significance.

NONINTERFERENCE
I love this lake,
Basin of heavenly tears,
Tilted from lunar pull
Jostling its shore.
I love these mountains,
Stark rock outcroppings,
Sculpted by the oceans,
Lifted at some unknown time,
Isolated in a field of vetch,
Cleaved by silver falls.
A sentinel owl regards me unblinkingly,
And beyond, alpine forests form a cadence
To a distant moon.

The earth is overrun by investigators and engineers. The wilderness is made vulgar with the noise of tourists. We don't need their thermometers and saws. We don't need bridges and monuments. In the context of Tao, this is to violate the earth with human ambition and to crawl over the landscape like flies over fresh fruit. Instead we should simply walk through this mysterious world without being a burden to it.

nina said...

In another place and time, desecrating the Earth would carry the severest of punishments decided in the court of the inhabitants, sea-life, amphibians, fowl and mammals large and small, forests, jungles, boulders and mountain ranges.

Can anyone reading here excuse, for example, arson?

What we are losing now, at this very moment, is beyond all restoration. All those "investigators and engineers" are scouts working towards further loss. If you didn't see the following, see it now and weep. Mankind hangs itself again:

http://www.desdemonadespair.net/2014/09/southeast-louisiana-is-disappearing.html

And what is it with Japan who so recently was lurched back in time to revisit nuclear horror, but refuses to get serious about poaching Whale and Dolphin?

We know these are real crises, we know because of the stupidity of humans to repeatedly shoot themselves in the foot.

Thank you Bho, I am loving this Equinox and talking it up to anyone who will listen. It means we are in touching distance of the annual showdown with the ghastly triple digits. It means relief. It means marathon walks from ghetto to mansion to foothills and freedom beyond four walls with my dog are ours again.

Equinox:
1350-1400; Middle English < Medieval Latin equinoxium, for Latin aequinoctium the time of equal days and nights ( aequi- equi- + noct- (stem of nox) night + -ium -ium )

noun: the time when the sun crosses the plane of the earth's equator, making night and day of approximately equal length all over the earth and occurring about March 21 (vernal equinox or spring equinox) and September 22 (autumnal equinox)

there is hope in this world, even yet

but we can and we will and we must

Esteban, I responded to your comment yesterday and it simply vanished. But this morning an article appeared showing what it is we are up against:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/09/22/woman-gets-third-boob-jasmine-tridevil_n_5862184.html

Which is why "... we can, we must and we will..." no longer applies. Five or ten years ago, I would have agreed with you, but now, any REAL change can't happen here.

Change has to come from within ourselves, involving ourselves only. Its akin to the Civil rights Movement which has yet to see lasting authenticity. If we "must" do anything, it would be what we already do which is live our lives with humility and compassion wherever and however possible in each of our own, individual situations.

If anyone disagrees with me, I am certainly open to ideas, but hope and belief are two of the items on the list which have long gone out with the trash. How does one change an illusion? Where's the handle?

arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of
the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs,
paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every
step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to
lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a
dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at

Herons probably thought they'd try their luck, but my door opening made them take flight. So spectacular their lift-off!

The koi (big goldfish) interestingly go dormant for 6 months as the pond freezes over, then in spring, there they are! I'll feed them for another month probably. They hear(?) me as I walk barefoot on the grass to the pond, and are all at the edge waiting.

Hi Nina and everyone

It is all pretty crazy isn't it?

They finally let me upgrade to SL 10-6-8. I can now post comments most of the time.

This one from cosmic convergence I found inspiring and I need some inspiration lately.

"What all of these recent developments really say about the true status of the planetary civilization is that we are now a minute to midnight. No, we are closer to midnight than that, perhaps only seconds away from the ending of the expansive 6000 year era known as the Age of Quarrel. Unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately, most do not even have a clue, since Maya always intensifies toward the end of every Kali Yuga. It has to be this way. Otherwise, very few would ever get out of bed in the morning to face the brutal realities. And so it is during the upcoming grand finale of the current age.

The Kali Yuga Always Ends The Same Way

For those who have eyes to see and ears to hear, please know that the current pandemic of ignorance and arrogance is quite purposeful. It is induced — by the Universe itself — for the protection of the masses so that their ignorance has become bliss. The bliss that comes with not knowing the grim realities[2] which abound everywhere one looks. How else can so many face the rapidly devolving state of affairs manifesting worldwide?"

The Secret of Secrets: Tunnels in Bucegi Mountains — Displaying our true history discovered in 2003

Looks like Cayce was right. The hall of records does start under the Sphinx but it is a tunnel leading to Tibet, Tikal, Bagdad, China (temple of heaven) and Romania.

Genetic combinations
At one table the subject is biology and the projected image are of plants and animals, some completely unknown. Tapping one of the squares, the hologram shows the structure of the human body. It develops holographic images of various areas of the body that always rotate. Other squares show projections of other beings, on other celestial bodies. By tapping simultaneously two different squares, a complex scientific analysis shows the DNA of both beings and possibilities of compatibility between them. On the side vertical lines appear, containing explanations (but in the strange writing seen everywhere) and at the end, the most probable mutant form appears as a result after combining the two genetic information.

True Giants
A confirmation of the giants in Romania can be found in a newspaper called “The Newspaper”: “The team at the newspaper is accompanied by researcher Vasile Rudan, who noted that the” stories “of people from the village Bozioru about giants who lived on those lands have concrete evidence: a cemetery with skeletons of giants.

First we need to identify what must be changed in priority order, how about we start with A. reversal of massive dishonesty and B. damming up the mighty rivers of pure global bs and while we are at it, C. abate the incessant cruelties of EVERY sort and D. publicly educate for kindness and compassion.

How soon before WHO gets on the wide screen to pump up the fear? And Zmapp becomes a mandatory vaccine? The guy exposed 80 people and vomited in the street. I'm thinking with another week or so we'll be drenched with WHO this and WHO that because 80 people x 80 more each is over the top. I'm sure they have their pandemic rules all ready to enforce.

But like you Su-san, I wander away from this for months at a time, there is so much shock and awe it loses all meaning.

love the header picture again and something to think about too.

There are no ancients before me,
No followers behind:
Only the vastness of heaven and earth
On this mountain terrace.
Though heaven may know the ultimate,
Joy or sorrow is our own will.

We stand alone in this life. No one lives our life for us. Neither drug nor sorcery can remove us, even for a moment, from our own life. We can deny it, but it is useless : We are here alone, to engage every precious moment according to our wills.
The precedents of the ancients may be helpful, but in the end they are only references. The thought of those who will follow after us is likewise merely a consideration. What matters is being, pure being. Accept who you are. Be who you are.

If there are gods in the heavens, maybe they know the future. As a human being, I can only say that the future is yet to be made. Let us go forth and make it, but let us make it as beautifully as we can. The degree of elegance is determined by our will and the perfection of our own personalities. Therefore, do not sigh over misfortune or adversity. Whether you are happy or sad is entirely up to you.

Friday 3 October

Yesterday morning I respectfully declined yet another employment interview scheduled for today. This one at a large corporation in a wonderful gentrified haven with perfect climate, recreational opportunities etc. . .

Only ignorance and spiritual sloth can possibly consider a life based wait its NOT life on farming some resume in exploiting exploitation

Today I realized this old habit of participation in that worlds "application process" for the residual dross it is.

I'm not an artist, writer, or anything else entertainment wise other than some character in a plot who laughs at itself constantly or goes insane believing in what it knows to be a complete devolutionary lie. Scurrying around in a blind rush driven by some uploaded agenda unconsciously working my way back HERE.

Living as a wild free range human since early this year has left me physically drained, emotionally mature and spiritually awakening. I'm totally broke financially and few remaining material possesions will be dutifully auctioned to the highest bidder when I'm unable to pay for their storage.

Whatever.

I have no frustration, anger, regret or remorse regarding this seeming "fail". I honestly, truthfully and fucking joyfully yes fucking blissfully consider any further participation in dead dreams THE major "FAIL"

EVERYWHERE I LOOK the evidence of too many mouths is so overpoweringly undeniable that it's cleansed residual addiction to ANY of that which I had embraced previously to tranquilize, anesthitize and lobotomize me into complete denial. Those medicinal mechanisms are just that, no more no less. You won't get it stoned.

I'm in permanent gut check mode, lost in compassionate embrace as this material vehicle steadily fades. 135 lbs last February, 131 for spring, way down to 121 by mid July when I had to come down from months wandering the high Sierra Nevada range drought, and finally settled at optimum 128 lbs.

Begging young hormone driven kids to slow down the replication engine is absolutely futile. They have nothing to relate this awareness to. I don't even waste time. Having been ignored for decades when I was relatively "successful" in the formerly dead dream, this is now completely relegated to the looney bin.

Whatever.

So we find ourselves here or in some tropical paradise or wherever the extinction blues play loud and clear.
There, I said it in public

Ahhhhhh.

4 year old granddaughter wants to go for a long walk together now as the drone herd has cleared out of the suburban breeding coop to spend another miserable day in HELL.

I am truly blessed.

Now, here's the other side of "news": I spent the entire day into the night yesterday in an outpatient surgical center waiting room, (and parking lot, meditation garden, on and off the grounds, etc.) as driver and subsitute family for my friend. In the waiting room were four mounted wall TVs on high, all tuned into CNN where Sanjay and various opinionators held continuous court on Ebola, Ebola, Ebola. From the time we entered the facility to leaving there was no let up in the blame, the absurd debate, the accusations of lying, the quarantines, the speculation, the utter lameness of the Dallas receiving hospital staff and CDC workers who are seemingly ignoring those stuck in the quarantine apartment complex. Contaminated sheets and towels not picked up, no food deliveries, etc.

Rain Waters, don't fail yourself or your envelope. To have come so far and then give it up would be blasphemous. Make your journal into a book and self publish. See what happens. You have an overlooked and underestimated gift.

This blog seems to attract sentience finding itself where otherwise might only see Mohave waste. . . Eternally grateful for your encouragement. I'm on it.

"More beautiful than art is people observing art"

Whatever you need RW, I am at your service. I have always been fond of your way with words. Get the journal together and I will put it up on my blog as I do for Charles and Visible. You need cover art? OK. What you are doing is astounding and very few have been able to tell their tale properly without presenting themselves as homeless Ted Nugents. You can do better and already have shown us that over the years. I realized yesterday it was you by putting two and two together, so I see you made it out of Texas as you planned.

You will recall that during the dust bowl, hobos (intentional travelers, not only people "down on their luck", but people who chose to live outside the confines of the system) would stop at a farm and put in a full day's work for a good meal plus overnight shelter in the barn?

Is there a post office box where we can send care packages to get some calories into your body which will provide the energy for your next steps?

I for one, support your mission. Many others will too, but you must give us the chance.

10/2/2014 @4:15 is Deng Ming Dao. Nice Huh. From 365 DAO been reading everyday for 23 years.

Seems like their are a lot of TAOISTS and buddhas out in the DEEP readership. as we know we are nature and we are all one.

Scrapsan, is the entire comment, with the exception of your opening remark, from 365 DAO or just these lines:

There are no ancients before me,
No followers behind:
Only the vastness of heaven and earth
On this mountain terrace.
Though heaven may know the ultimate,
Joy or sorrow is our own will.

And the rest is yours?

Because the way it reads in full is one of the more incredible, maybe the most, incredible thing I've ever seen here. As if the author simply swept away all the excuses of individual experience and spoke for the whole of all sentient beings.

I ask these questions because I know you have it in you to address and synthesize for the entire body of onelove.

Regardless, the messages you bring to us are Divine and we are blessed by your participation.

Namaste my dear friend.

It is all from just one day in 365 DAO.
I think the day was 10/2 or 10/3. and I felt it hit much better than anything I might have come up with.

Truly a wonderful book and not just for TAOISTS.
That is why I have read each day over and over for 23 years.

And thank you for your heartfelt response. It moves me greatly

ALL OF US
Out of the undifferentiated Tao
come the ten thousand things:
the bug in the bird’s mouth,
the bird in the tree
the tree outside the window,
the window beyond the chair
the chair in the room,
the man in the chair
who has just risen from the chair
and walked across the room
to look out the window
at the bird in the tree
with the bug in its mouth.
See how all of us,
at our own and different speeds,
return to the Tao.
sing praises now for all of us,
at our own and different speeds,
return to the Tao.
Oh, let us all
sing praises now for all of us,
so briefly here.

David is a friend and I post his stuff here once in awhile. He shares a love of tang and sung dynasty poetry. Using what the old chinese chan buddhists and taoist dudes use to call harmonization.

I really enjoy your poetry too and am glad you post it here. Must be that Vermont state of mind

Roughly between 69 and 72, around a quarter of the hippie residents left the Lowereastside and migrated to Vermont, establishing communes, I used to visit a farmhouse with a huge woodburning stove, a geodesic dome and teepee in the back, often. Something about that place, a refuge, its not short on talent. Nothing around to distract creativity. Enhancement flows from every direction.

Has it changed like everywhere else? It does not seem so, Esteban.

i will describe it for you all

farmers markets [even in the winter]

csa's [buy in, veggies every week]

you know about the coffee and ice cream

lots of little farms, goats, lamas, sheep
and of course, cows

trying to get a value added economy going
as selling whole milk
is futile, what with the huge farms out west

i would suggest you all try cabot butter and cheese if you eat dairy

and i bet most here have tried ben and jerry's - i was there when they started
in that old gas station

we are getting artisanal cheeses
and even wines ha

they are actually subsidizing young couples ? to take over farms as long as the continue working the land

i grew up here and in many ways vermont is much better now

there is a bike path that runs, say, 20 miles along lake champlain incredible
looking at the adirondack's

concerts, bars, resto's
all here - skiing, boating, colleges

and right now the leaves are changing

like a damn postcard
i love it gods country
-
may you all find peace
within your own heart

nina said...

Hooked on Cabot's extra sharp white cheddar.

Thank you for your descriptions. What is the population count in your estimation, under or over?

est said...

-
i'd say 600,000, or so
half close in, near the main city

there are also a few things wrong, up here
[drugs, up from the cities, we have homeless, seemingly random
odd crimes etc...]

over all though, very mellow
if you can stand a bit of winter

and i do remember the so called
'invasion' - back to the landers

some of them did arrive and stayed [lots of artists, writers and so on]

ciao, for now

Pigeon Point lighthouse?
Never been there, but used to hang out at Point Reyes lighthouse to drum for the passing whale migrations. Those are special geomantic spots with energy for good meditations.
>onelove<

nina said...

Word Origin and History for geomancy
n.

"art of divination by means of signs derived from the earth," late 14c., from Old French gƩomancie, from Medieval Latin geomantia, from late Greek *geomanteia, from geo-, comb. form of ge "earth" + manteia "divination" (see -mancy ).
................................................................

You helped the whales return! I saw them diving and playing together. The drum is like the vibration your feet make on the earth as you are coming to greet the Koi.
Oh thank you!

Morning sun warming my neck. I reflect on those whose necks were cut, I'm here for a while, may as well make it Irie!

Left to connect catchment drums to mound garden, get drip hoses, terrace, plant vetiver and lemon grass; drought did in much. Goats the rest. And on ....

Thanks for this virtual community Nina. Alone on the path to sanity. The animal and plant companions rejoice in a human who tries to see and acts with passionate deliberation in their midst.

All not in money game feeling grip of international money players. Still, we could be further on the development road eh? bright lights and dirty air.

Chick V virus spreading here, Ebola threatening. Remember HG Wells 'war of the World"? The bacteria did the invaders in.

What better time to pay attention to the warners. Lao Tsu and Co.

They've certainly gotten the Marshalls tuned on max for PANDEMIC, but the people are watching iphones on bluetooth so it will all become louder to get the attention of the western populations.

We have to individually trust our gut feelings on this one. Mass hallucinations have a bad rep.

Anonymous said...

Yep. Gut stuff is symbiotic. Does not invade more than is required. There are things that seek higher ground, and spin webs in neural networks.

Good dog, bad dog. Some stuff settles down, some stuff should stay away and get baked by the Sun.

I thought this damned War is self correcting, only so much loss.

Pathogens are into self preservation, I do not blame them.
They just want that fever and the survivors to not count them out.
Of course they tie stuff up in knots, real and the other.
Lines were drawn as the crow flies. Temporal topology is not something that gets understood without fever.

Birth, death, that other thing. Now without stimulation, how could immunity learn courage?

That is where the names are yet to be determined.
Plus, Minus, Neutral. Equals is topology. Has nothing to do with the world of Man.

And everything. Not anything a touch would heal, without rules.

We seem to be at a place where it's impossible to know what's real any more, other than what's right in front of us.
MSM marshalls vs. "alt/truthers" marshalls - all set at 11.
Just tryin to manage the stress factor in my own environment, can't imagine how they deal in those targeted lands of the big wetikos under bombs, sword-wielding zombies, and engineered pandemics.
Have no answer to 'why we are here'.....

nina said...

Oh, there are stories for that, too.

Q. Why are we here?

A. It goes like this: A long time ago our ancestors crossed the pond...

Or, Science has all the answers. We are here because a water mammal's fins turned into feet so it came ashore.

Aaaahhh...I'm feeling better with each story.
Please don't stop!
Stories to stop the mind.
Banish these thoughts of leaving. They keep periodically arising. I don't know why.
It's a beautiful night with the sound of the great horned pair, and the elks' hooves on the grass.
Much sweetness, turey.
