There used to be an amusement park ride called the Mad Mouse. There were bright colored two person mouse cars, someone belted in front and someone belted in back, on a roller coaster-style track, high up, sliding waaay down, the whole experience at breakneck speed. The Apocalypse kind of reminds me of this ride. We paid with our lives and we can't get off once it's started. This ride will jerk you around, take you to the top and dump you on a downhill race to the bottom only to careen sideways into a detour where the track abruptly ends, you back up and then you're gone again, faster, higher, twirling into a downward spiral, slamming into another detour, yanking back suddenly to the main track and so forth. It made a lot of people sick and sometimes pretty angry. I didn't really care for it either and went once to see what all the shouting was about and again, to confirm it was as bad as I remembered.
We are in a little lull right now, while one Apocalyptic disaster unfolds planet wide another is brewing, poised to shrink Fukushima as we exhaust ourselves racing ahead of simultaneous eruptions, i.e.; the crises of corruptions gone wrong, miscalculated, underestimated, excused, weakly justified, but lucrative and layered with complex levels of extreme profit. I am shell shocked, not about anything you would assume, but about the stunning, spectacular, overwhelming stupidity and lack of foresight which has created a world of in your face greeeeeeeeed. The hypocrisy knows no bounds and Iran has a lot of oil.
Who in their right mind celebrates the 150 year anniversary of the Civil War for example? Oh, yes, let's make a parade, bring on the fireworks, let's tear down the drapes and make velvet frocks with corsets laced tightly by our beaten, whipped, raped and Stockholm syndromed human possessions and then let's drink the fruited wines they made us and lie in rows upon the railroad tracks of ancient Terminus, now a gentrified shopping mall turned tourist attraction. A century and a half after the ugly facts, we come to find the same Wetikos hangin' round, still, working the same old stories of hate and paranoia. Its all too much for the love people, I can't imagine how the rest of you are handling the latest developments. I can barely open the plastic box anymore. To visit news sites or hear the pundits screeching in the background between grotesque, high pressure come-ons must be what it is to be insane, all of it mashed together as one long monotonous vision of obsequious fakery. Who do they think they're fooling? The burger set? Maybe as that set gorges its way to the recruitment hooks and perhaps a short half-life is a better life than the life of victims, children, elders, ordinary shack dwellers who never knew the land upon which the dust twists daily is Terminus all over again. At some point, lies backfire bringing on karma, Bring it on. The wait for love people is agonizing because we feel it coming, in spite of the decrees and altruistic covers designed to keep us in rags so our pockets have irreparable holes through which every penny dribbles out as if the single copper cent lying in our tracks is a sign around our necks "Take it, take it all, and take me too." Whenever I check in with the little box, its amazing to see everyone at it still. I ask why? What are you looking for that you don't already know? Perhaps you are looking for something you don't know, something impossible and suddenly, sigh, there it is. Hmmm.
How many nuke plants exist on Planet Earth? And is each a foil for Earth shattering weaponry too? Or just some of them? Like the allies. How would we know? We would not. Especially when every headline is about prostitutes' skeletons and sports doping or Charlie Sheen or heh, the movements taking place on the campaign trail. Or the budget deficit. That's a favorite, hunh. That'll keep all those nosy armchair economists glued to their screens, keep their noses out of things that really matter cuz we down here in Loveville don't have any economy left at all. When the Wetiko plan finally comes into full bloom, we'll go first because our entire lives have been gradually stripmined to make room for the gargantuan wallets of Monopoly (tm) money. Don't look now, but the little people everywhere, the love people, the love people in-training, the good and the innocent have either lost everything held dear to them or they are in the process of having it forced away through torture, radiation, disease, through lack of awareness, empty pockets and various interesting schemes in which the person victimized is not a consideration, never was and never will be.
Frankly, I confess to holding out some exceptionally small sliver of faint desire that there would be some vague turnaround of humanity by now, as in a general collective-unconscious looking for the bright side, oh, how foolish of me. In fact, what has been our collective life since the awakening of the Bu-ad godzilla is now our zeitgeist-in-full, rounded out, obtuse and obese. This is the way it is. Today and evermore until no more. And being that it is this way, what, I ask you, is there to look forward to? Ah, yes, at last, the plantation overseers are back in the saddle whipping the steed faster this time aided by monster technology and mushroom clouds. Dare you let on your anguish unless you want to see the new evaporation tool microwave your entire existence into instant ash and minuscule sprays of blood and mucus running in rivulets down that velvet dress.
Every single time the Wetikos turn on their campaign shows, I've always thought, hey, its too soon. You might have noticed its never too soon. Decades before the actual festivals begin, the presidential hologramed hopefuls are plotting four, eight, twelve years ahead. In between the vast, colorful ,nauseating, corporate-funded, chain-linked urban takeovers, we get to see our falling rock stars show themselves to never have been worthy of all that adulation. Is big business to be adulated? Must they leave us too early like Stevie Ray and Bob Marley in order to get out from under the giant Earthmover's dirt dripping claws? Leaving us to stand alone in shock and awe cherishing their memory, we point still to their example, how is that different than martyrdom? Surely there are secrets there too, better we do not know. We have too much already bringing us down and deeper. Why has no one come forward to state unequivocally we are in the thick of the energy wars, which are different than the turf wars of old in that those wars ended, why hide the motivation now, everyone knows what's up. Ten days ago I bought cheap gas for $4.09 pg. If that isn't a dead giveaway, I don't know what is. Who knew so many multitudes of so-called humans are pigs. Lipsticked. Armed to the teeth. Sporting comb overs resembling wet, used mops upside down over their skulls, perhaps that is a Wetiko thing to the tune of here today, gone tomorrow. Dancing with the stars, falling off the stage, who will Lady Gaga sue? What do you think Bristol pays in property taxes? Out of who's pocket? Do these ahem, people have underground bunkers equipped for twenty four thousand-years worth of privileged living? Listen, if you don't, you'd better think about what you're doing.
Often I ask myself who is driving this ship and what happened to them that they grew up with SFbrains, why would they parade and preen before media portraying themselves in possession of expert opinion, a deluxe opinion, the opinion of better, more skillful, superior, more worthy persons? That somehow they were finely crafted human Bentleys of excellence with extra-prescient perception where everyone apart from them is unworthy, evil, atheistic, witches and warlocks, to be feared and eliminated, out of sight, out of mind? Are they all abused children acting out, finally in position to "get their's"? That they were so ill-treated in youth ruined any possibility for the existence of compassion or clarity of values? No, it isn't that. I've known personally too many people with horrible back stories and lingering scars of abuse and found them to put truth to the idea suffering creates enlightenment, so deeply feeling, so deeply understanding of the plight of others for abuse to be a core reason. More likely it is obsessive power corrupting, creating laws by the minute overriding other laws created by competing powers, all of it designed to enrich and self-sustain while creating even more control, always selectively blind to the consequences because once tainted it turns to permanent stain out of all proportion to the original act - like Ponzi schemes, like serial killing. There can be no turnaround from here, its gone too far. It is illogical to trust planting a garden and going small and local as a means of fending off nuclear winter lying not too far in the future. Its not us driving this ship my friends, unfortunately the Captain rammed the iceberg out of choice and should the ship right itself, who is to say the first mate won't attempt to complete the effort? When you see these Wetikos making their Wetiko claims inspiring hatred, prejudice and egging on the Gods of war, you see a frightened little freak worried they will run out of gas in the dark on an unlit overpass crumbling into a swift moving river, wide and deep.

mishappenings polava
and emotional psychosis
the unloving symptoms
of a zombified focus
commotions and sickness

the creed of disturbance
make's the heart bleed
the blood of the sacrificed

sold into vanities
derangment confusion
with nowhere to turn
but more lies and delusion
abuse never ending
but love knows much more
the laws of the universe
peace over war
the core of the greatness

know what you mean nina,I know I still have'nt paid you for your picture, have tried on a few occasions but I think I have to have that sort of mystery bubbling away below the surface feeling to be able to write that sort of poem.
anyway nice post and nice picture,
and us love people just have to carry on how ever we can....

I always hated the Mighty Mouse - it scared the shit out of me. Take you right to the edge of the track and then SNAP!, a hard spinning left that tries to shift your entire spine at once. A loud, violent ride that at times simply needed to be ENDURED.
But then, why in the world would one willingly climb aboard again knowing fully what was in store?
That was quite a ride you just took me on, Nina, and all I could do was nod my head and feel the truth of your words. Much Love to the Love People, and more to those who's lack has allowed them to become monsters on this earth. We forgive you. Now knock it off.

Hello Nina, boy oh boy, yes once you get on the ride there is no turning back....and what a horrible ride we are having and there is so many more scary turns and surprises coming our way....may loves anchor keep us all safe and sane....thank you!
Heavy stuff but good, of course the fun house mirror is our town crier. The line between ugly and painful is crossed for some of the sensitive but still it is a valuable marker on this leg of the journey. Good day, from the land of the interminable winter, April 14, 2011. Russell Olausen.
I just can't stomach it all anymore either. I used to feel compelled to take in all the news (online - really, really can't stand what passes for it on TV), as if I could "figure it all out" and by making sense of it be somehow safe from it. This has actually worked in some ways, but the problem is as you say: their tentacles of nefarious control are gripping ever more and more with the intention of squeezing out every last vestige of goodness.
Somehow I just feel numb about it all now, and can't seem to muster up any interest in the goings ons anymore...just...can't...even though we are all (physically at least) stuck in this matrix.
Nice poem Neil
Shifting
Waves of destruction
Earth shaking change
Massive upheaval
Nuclear rain?
Finding the center,
safe space to exist
Pondering how to
make sense of all this?
The heart calls one inward
Reaching for calm
Breathing in stillness
Spirit soothed, healing balm.
thanks mrs life, your poem is the one over at your site from a little while ago and it is also really really good really fluid and hard hitting,I know I need to get over to your recent post aswell, always calms me down over their, actualy all of you ladies sort of draw upon the creative flow slightly differently...
thankyou all of you...neil

Big grin
I gleaned a smile amidst the turds of truth
You can feel it, whatever you call "it", I think it has many names, none of them good. Hoping the insanity will go away seems useless as you say, it's too late, but I persist still.
They don't know that you don't pull this kind of shit and escape. There is not a bunker deep underground that will save their sorry fucking asses in the end. And the world they reappear in if they were to survive will not be their friend. They are dead men walking like they are dead now inside.
I am finally reconnected to the world. Not so sure it is a blessing except for all of you. I have not met anyone yet who I can have a conversation with about all of this. Your writing is like a mirror with my reflection only you do it very well. I am glad you are here.
burnie
nina, as usual you say it well. I wait for your posts knowing that you are a fair bell weather. If I may i wish to restate part of thesis here...to be superconscious one must choose the hard core worst case scenario and like it cause it's what you get. So refreshing not to hear the facts glossed over to save overly sensitive softies who dont want to hear the nagative[sic] In the near future many will collide with destiny in unforseen calamities. When tears cloud my eyes it is usually when I am reminded that there are many who "get" this and struggle toward their destiny knowing a sort of Jokers ambivalence. I will miss the living reminders of "something better" when the net goes away. I will remember the All of"You" anyway. Alpholive
Say it girl! Always good to get it off your chest. All I can do is send you some love.
I have said it before what amazes me most is how stupid people are. There are many out there who don't notice as things become worse and worse and worse. It is almost fascinating in a weird way. I am spell bound. Maybe that is part of the lesson Nina, people have to realize the earth is not a permanent stop over.
The wetikos are programmed to spew the party line no matter what but we have seen a few of them go over the deep end with the code talking gibberish and get hauled away to the hospital.
If this is all just a warm up I can only imagine what the grand finale will be like. I still can't get over a friend of mine telling me he was going fishing in the gulf! Say what? He hasn't heard, says the ocean is big place. No worries for him on the blue plague.
I am going to miss him but hey the dumb ones may be the lucky ones getting out fast.
I still think of that classic line in Tombstone when Earp asks Doc Holiday WTF is wrong with these people and he says some people just have a big hole right through the center of them. They can't ever cause enough pain and suffering to fill it up. In a way it was always like this wasn't it?
Living is just a dangerous proposition. Nina I have already taken a shot at who is driving.

I am the subject
self centered for sure,
So lonesome I want to cry.
Help me to help myself escape
This dusty world
I can't embrace.
Woolly recluse,
abounding hills and mountains,
goats and chickens,
my garden grows
as the stars come out above me.
Occurrence in/of itself
in the midst of the jumble of wonder
mystery and change took place
Knowing you love

tuning flower
flowing sound

atuning the temprament
weaving the chords
strumming the future
signing in awe
symbols of consciously
truely profound

Thanks for the poetry, honesty and passion campfire friends. Thanks for the links, hints and warnings. Big daughter had a dad sendoff. All bright and beautiful. The dogs wandering and sniffed. Big daughter getting used to my god-daughter. She adopted me. Little blessings on the way. Her man is into the Beatles too. This in the midst of Japan, Mid E, Su's experience. Reminds me of crossing the Atlantic. The sweet moonlight nights with dolphins chattering, the calm day when we stopped and dove into the dazzling abyss.
Then the mistral that fought the two big caterpillars, ripped loose the huge spinnaker and drove us into N Africa. Working with the natural world. Working in/with the human created world is another thing.
The crew are waiting to gather stones for the sky viewing pavilion and the big army tent is ready to be the workshop cover. Water catchment and storage, photovoltaic assemblage, planting and stewarding.

Once in awhile you just run into an add on that has to be added and this is one of them. I think this one possibly gives us and idea of what FEMA is doing along the New Madrid Fault and adds some clarity to some things discussed here for sometime. It points out exactly why Cayce refers to the giant volcano at Martinique as a precursor of things to come.

a very miraculous thing just happened:
my beerbottle flipped over backwards
and landed on its bottom on the floor,
and I have set it upon the table to foam down,
but the photos were not so lucky today
and there is a small slit along the leather
of my left shoe, but it's all very simple:
we cannot acquire too much: there are laws
we know nothing of, all manner of nudges
set us to burning or freezing; what sets
the blackbird in the cat's mouth
is not for us to say, or why some men
are jailed like pet squirrels
while others nuzzle in enormous breasts
through endless nights - this is the
task and the terror, and we are not
taught why. still, it's lucky the bottle
landed straightside up, and although
I have one of wine and one of whiskey,
this foretells, somehow, a good night,
and perhaps tomorrow my nose will be longer:
new shoes, less rain, more poems.

I'll make it up to each of you soon, thank you so much for these wonderful comments, poems, links and quotes. And welcome back Burnie.
Love, nina
Ha! Your Mad Mouse story reminds me of when I worked with emotionally disturbed teenagers and took them to an amusement park by San Jose (I forget what is was, but it was big). Anyway I was terrified to go on the big roller coaster, but the kids wanted to real bad. So, instead of acting strong and taking care of them with false bravado, I shrank in fear and told them "if we are going to do this, you have to take care of ME." So, they did. One had an IQ of 75 and the other was schizophrenic. I guess focusing on keeping me from freaking out, helped them to call upon strengths they didn't know they had. There must be a lesson in there somewhere.
It feels like I am back at the amusement park and the mutants are running the rides. But now the danger is not just on the rides. You can drop dead just standing in line. Death is in the wind.
Nina,
Just a wonderful that you just had.... I tried to say what I had to say and joohoo kept screwing up... so I give up, finally.
Here we are at OKC, Wacko, etc.
What I wanted to say is... we can breach the gap and get to 21st if we try.
I was sad to hear my son, my only grandfather's son, who lives in Berlin, Germany, say, "I will never, ever, come back to your sick, sick country....." I wont even go on, believe it or not, that HURT me. "If you want to see me, come visit.... I will not go there." (He was groped and coddled when he left Houston airport for Berlin.)
Um, um, um... I was calling up Smoking Mirrors and tawking about it and then.... um um um. No what actually happened was we were playing Jerry's "So Many Roads" and we were playing it too loud, so the nabors called the police, and it devolved into an... unsituation. I got off, but I don't know what to say.
My son says who lives in Berlin, "I will NEVER come back to a country where people will BEND OVER and TAKE IT at the TSA. Yes, he was groped, on the way back to Berlin after Xmas, and boy was he pissed. "I am a complete expatriate now, and I will never, ever, go back there." Cheers! I guess I will have to cough up some gold if I want to see my beloved son again? --Tex

Thank you Nina, for publishing out the TRUTH. Truth is hard be come by these days.... I have a problem with short term memory disorder.... some times it is here, some times it is not... right now, it is not. I would only advise your people to prepare for the worst thing they could ever imagine.... you cannot eat silver, you cannot eat gold.... but you can eat rice, beans, etc. I had written down some kind of platonic things but Neil has taken care of that in his poetry....

Monosodium glutamate will be in short supply after the Japan quake. Their company was blasted. MSG is the stuff that produces neural toxicity and brain damage in animals but Ajinomoto Co., Inc.says is good to go in humans.
The company and warehouses in Tokyo and Sendai were severely damaged. We will have to get our supply somewhere else now.

Always seek out peace. Avoid discord, disagreement. Live in the harmony of the Tao. Always know where you are in this world. Know where you stand. Stand as one with Tao. Do not get lost in the fog of modern society. Go about your business and your business will thrive. Come home and drink a cup of tea and get lost in the moment.
