the sighting

We saw a UFO tonight. It may have been a planet it was so bright. But I don't know of any planet that morphs designs in flashing colored lights and changes shape from a horizontal string of bright lights into a sphere and then expands into an egg shape with a huge hole running through it until it breaks into an arch. The reason you could discard a lot of the usual man-made technologies is this object remained in position in relation to the slow movement of constellations.
At first it appeared to be a jet, port and starboard lights indicated it was traveling NW. But it didn't actually go anywhere. It just twinkled, as some stars will under weather conditions between us and their location. But it twinkled too much. I look at the night heavens quite a lot, it gives me a thrill, so I am equipped to know when something new shows up where a vacancy should exist at a certain hour in a certain part of any season.
This shape-shifting circus object was new, behaving as if it was there all along, just hanging out with the rest of the Universe, nothing personal, business as usual.
We got out our high power binoculars and studied it. At one point it became a spherical grid. In a way it was reminiscent of a Times Square neon billboard on New Years Eve. Discard that thought - A shape shifting billboard at billions of light years away that keeps its location within in the constellations isn't possible.
And here's the thing - it wasn't just me who saw it.
We could go on a lot of Zen trips about it since we are here in the Now, creating our own realities. I don't discount that possibility. If we are creating our own realities, for example, we are also creating our own memories, complete with visuals.

Sightings have been up, all over the world. Even so it's a rare thing to see ... congratulations on having an experience few are fortunate enough to have. Whether 'their' intent is benign or malign - and I suspect it's a mixture - the opportunity to see something like that comes along once in a lifetime. A yultetime present from the cosmos to you, you might almost say :)

Thank you for your very supportive and interesting comment. Actually it could be my birthday gift. A birthday gift like no other, ever. I felt it was friendly saying the Universe welcomes attention.
Happy new year to you, Psychegram.

Ayah! No photos! Anyway, hats off. I'm envious me. I'd love to see something like that. You will paint it won't you?

As for the new pic, did somebody here mention Maxfield Parrish the other day? There's that Parrish blue! And as intense as ever.

Hmm... is there something special about blue? Between this Parrish blue and that insane Yves Klein/Buddhist temple blue, I've often wondered if blue isn't somehow capable of greater intensity (or depth) than the other primaries. Staring at a panel of Yves Klein blue somehow tricks my eyes, or addles my brain, or something. Do you know what I mean?

Otherwise this is a really intriguing picture. There's a lot going on in it. The caravan is the key.

Isn't it?

There IS something about the blue that you create--it has a feeling I just want to be awash in--while different, Su speaks of the African sky-blue--there IS a connected symmetry to it--
On another note, perhaps the little trailer can be a home for the little girl from Palestine--there is a heavenly simple sweetness to the scene you have created--it looks safe and serene-yet very much alive in what thoughts might become reality for the dweller--a hopefulness- Thank you--there is a place if only in my mind--and on your canvas--
Sweet--

The "thing" is still out there, it was there last night and the night before when I wrote about it. Its a dancer, it toys with us. We've got the neighbors watching too.

I can't say why I decided to put up "Teardrop" with a UFO entry, except that we are blue about the external events taking place and teardrop is the right kind of word for these days.

The "caravan" is a style of mobil home called a teardrop. They are rare antiques. People restore them at great expense.

More later tonight. Love, nina

Nina,
Even as a child I wanted something different.
My dream was to be pulled along by horses along country roads, never venturing near cities and large groups of people.
In my imaginings I would park my home in fields just like this, with colours just like this and above all the essence of this picture is an essence of my childhood.
Jj - yes to take that small child and put her in that setting.
Actually to even just get my mind settled in that setting away from the screaming horrors coming our way.

I send my greetings to the space brothers - may they come with wisdom.
When is your birthday Nina?

Nobody, you have such an interesting way with words. I was brought to examine blue.
Blue has more applications and a wider range than most other colors. Blue drops go into more shades of other hues to get it like it lives in the present vs. the memory. Greens are like that too. Oranges, no. Yellows, somewhat more, reds, not as often as blue. To get a real Sage, you need cream, blue and green. An Oak leaf in early summer is green and blue.
The ink companies sell shades, but its the same as instant gravies. Better to make your own.
No photos, I'm bummed too, but the "thing" is too far away. Mister Man judged the "thing" to be a space station. That's his story and he's stickin' to it. Well, okay, what is a space station anyway? A rest stop? A sort of high Flying J motel/astronauts' internet connection convenience center? Lit up like Vegas... oh why not?

The "caravan" is the humanity part, otherwise it would just be another lovely landscape. It seems as if life was there and then it wasn't. But all the other lives continued to thrive.

Thanks mate, very good. I briefly watched a thing on cable called the Black Donellys (it was okay, nothing special) but there was a scene where a young fellow has the chance to apprentice under a painter and the first thing they do is mix lapis lazuli (my guess there) with egg yolk etc. God, I was so envious. This (along with countless other things) is a big hole in my knowledge. Sure enough, the show being the show, the apprentice has to leave in order to get into a car chase or some other Hollywood bullshit. Me, I just wanted to see the paint getting mixed. Never mind.

Just a thought - friends of mine were raving about how you can put most any digital camera (like on a mobile phone) up against the eye piece on some binoculars and it functions fine as a long lens. It helps to have a tripod or some other means of steadying of course. Might be worth playing around with...

nina said...

I will try that with the digital, but I don't hold much hope. Its still there tonight. It is not a space station. I did some research.
In this time, in this world, inhabitated by good and evil, it could be anything.
It resides just west of the Little Dipper. Have a look.

Jj, if we want a future, that's what is available. At least in western culture.
You understand of course, some would see it as a nightmare.
Hey, its midnight! This better be our happy NEW YEAR. Happy New Year Jj, Su, Nobody, Psychegram et al, you know who you are. Let us put on our best intentions and go forth.

nina said...

Su, I am sure they can read everything on some advanced data collection technology and will get your greetings. That was a lovely post by the way. Every sentence. Thank you.

beautiful painting nina :)

kewl stuff nina :)

happy new yr y'all.

noby suggested i come by :)

the girls and i saw a long burning meteor the other nite...

MS coast in the early 80's a whole gang of us sitting beachside on our cars saw, what appeared to be a starwars esque type 'battle'.

keep in mind the coast is riddled w/ SAC/TAC's so we assumed from the get go, it was keesler air force playing w/something...

like watching a video game w/multiple targets firing multiple 'photon' weapons.. none of the blips exploded.. but all whizzed around very quickly firing at each other.. some kind game of 'photon tag'.

we could tell the action was very far off, by the small size of the blips, even though we'd been imbibing of various substances :)

i have no idea how well developed 'laser light shows' were in those days.. i think the event occurred even prior to such....

we figured either mass hallucination (doubtful) or just the AF playing round...?

Happy New Year Kikz! This is the decisive month for your daughter, please see a Network chiro asap. Please. No time to waste.

Now, did you see the explosive light show Vandenburg put on in 2002, late summer I think it was?

Also, Laser light effects had to have been actively used in the 80's, we were designing it into interior spaces as playful elements in the 70's.

Psychegram's post tells us we are among the fortunate few who experience unidentifiable aerial phenomena. There are clubs and watch groups for these sort of things, but sightings remain in the realm of fodder for ridicule. Like everything else that is somehow threatening. Even a little teardrop trailer under the sunset is threatening to somebody, somewhere.
I think sightings and sunsets/sunrises are similarly inevitable and normal.

kikz said...

thanks nina:)

and p.s. happy bday:)

oh i don't discount sightings.. someone would hafta be an egomaniac and a bad mathematician to think we are alone in the universe...

i think we're probably under galactic quarantine though:) dangerous gitz we are!

Do you think, somewhere, there is another Earth, but an improved Earth?

Susannah said...

There can only be an improved earth if there are no humans on it.

Outside Man, Outside Woman.

With pure awareness
and no self consciousness
you ever so gently pull my hair
away from my face
and hold it securely behind my head.

Looking into you eyes again
I realise I have not see you
for a very long time
I forgot how clear and knowing
you are
and look how you bathe me with the purest love and acceptance.

Nervously I touch my pinkened lips and widen my staring eyes
self consciousness and floundering
being who i am.
oh outside man remind me of love
remind me of love.

That was wonderful. I am awed how much you see in this work.
I agree with your insight. There is more to the image, it has a border that the photographer found hard to square up with the middle rectangle. I think I might put it up in a day or two just for comparisons. It turns out you got what the work says anyway. So sensitive to these things you are.

Hey Susana, that was fabulous. You had me going back the picture to look again. You have a fine eye.

And Nina, may I say I love this picture? It reminds me vaguely of one of my favourite Chinese artists Shen Ling. Put her into google images and see what you think. Sure enough, nothing digital does her justice. She actually paints on huge 2m x 2m canvases and the colours are madly vibrant.
