If sticking with blogger translates to censorship, a further dumbing-down of the greater dumbdown which incidentally is a major whiplash into absolute slavedom, then the idea of packing up and moving one's blog somewhere else is unnerving to say the least. Who is to say which is worse, staying or leaving? Of course, moving elsewhere can be done, supposedly easily if you buy the hype, but the downside is finding yourself spending infinitely MORE time online than you already do, without the interaction, the discoveries, the visuals and the building on each others spiritual foundations. Moving the blog technically is demanding enough for non-geeks, but the rearrangement of visuals is an unnecessary chore because we've already done it and can't imagine anything more potentially irritating than revising a finished work without the tools we trained ourselves to use developed over many years and through many "supposedly" more efficient ways of doing what we do here. There is a lot more to it than we are being led to believe, deleting the photos Picasa has accumulated in disregard to the fact we have already have offline photo storage and of course, the very big issue of starting all over again with a different email service. I've tried a number of them over the years and found g-mail a lot faster to use, although you don't have any of the graphics choices other email systems provide. And then there is the search feature, too, etc.
I've had a hunch from the beginning of this blog D day was coming because once you sign on to the blogger experience, you are encouraged to open a lot of strange doors, all of them leading back inside the grand spider web. If you don't want to be eaten alive, you'll need to find the exit. If you are uncomfortable with google's widely posted changes to come, don't let it turn into the procrastinator's indecisive wait and see.
If we leave things as they are, after March 1st or 12th, I'm not exactly sure of the date, it appears we automatically turn into a Facebooky social networking situation, an all-inclusive, systematically tracked and profiled, total void of privacy; whatever is said in blogs, comments and emails will be scrutinized for the stated purpose of personalized advertisements popping up apparently whenever we connect to the web. And where we go, we are advised, will be linked with where we've been, where we go next and how they classify the individual user, all wrapped in one tidy package to improve our overall individual internet experience. Really! Then count on whomever else comes into the mix up the road apiece, someone with the innovative moxie of the moment, as pretty much a guarantee to take it even further and deeper into previously unknown dimensions of connectivity and hog snorting glee as the anticipated profits rain down. You will have to decide for yourself what those dimensions of the future could mean and how they could affect you. It may suddenly take on new weight in your thoughts concerning your participation in the program.
I am of two minds on this. One mind, not my better, higher mind, says "So what, I'm okay with things as they are." The other mind sees this situation as dangerous, dangerous because anything anyone says is open to interpretation by technology, how reliable is that? There certainly is no logical reason to be lackadaisical since whatever is going on today is already racing to change itself towards superseding unlimited growth, imagine that, infinite mutations of pituitary gigantism also known as Launois syndrome; downgrades and bankruptcy likely being the feared classic consequences they probably envision lie ahead without immediately monetizing every cluster of binary numbers. Do note this change comes directly on the heels of Facebook's IPO filing. If this gives you the chills, try to remember we're talking about personhoods here, not flesh and blood.
Try telling them it isn't necessary, stop fiddling with what isn't broken. Ah, but you know you cannot argue with machines armed with computer generated stats promising profit for economic innovation. Have you ever tried to contact blogger for tech support? Where are the people, the human beings wearing ear pieces and mouth mics, to fix your foibles? We shouldn't wonder what happened to the human personality that used to be so gracious. Once autobots replaced the human being your query into tech support in ANY situation no longer encouraged or required courtesy. Once you figured out you could pay your bills by cellphone, online or just by authorizing creditors to trawl your bank account, you didn't have to write legibly either. Mostly we learned to check boxes and copy/paste the rest. How encouraging are conversations with other voices where you respond with only "yes" or "no" and hang up on them? Every one of us is at least guilty of that. That is what they want. These antisocial actions only create more of the same antisocial behaviors. If we are willing to cooperate this much, how much more will we cooperate with before signing out for the last time? Are we even close? Remotely close? Some will be more than happy to go away and do something else, something real, something that does not lead to ennui. Believe it or not, there is still a beautiful world out there, we will never find it the longer we stay glued to this unnatural relationship.
By the time it takes to deliver munitions over Iran, internet use will stampede, that is if it has not already reached everyone its going to reach. We all have our own personalized arguments against this medium of communications, small or large, and it is strange to see ourselves continuing to take the beating all the while knowing we pay a heavy price to play. I feel like the last person on the planet sometimes, hanging on to dial-up. Every time I investigate the range of high speed options, I walk away disgusted, they think we use our laptops to watch TV! Yes, that is always the first thing asked by DSL sales reps, "How much television viewing do you do online?" When I say "None", there is a blank pause as if some alien broke into the connection. And fer cryin' out loud, who in their right mind would want to pay more for something we already have and really, really don't want or need more? If you read this blog's previous posts you might have come across a brilliant comment from someone who has been through it all and was at a complete loss to say what he's gained personally over the past decade from his internet experience. I agree. How about ah, less than nothing? Nothing we didn't already know or would have discerned anyway or found at the local library if we were so moved. Somehow, out of all these years of living we share, we have arrived here today intact, did we really need keyboards and autobots to ease us inside the corral? Isn't this easing simply another avenue of humiliation and diminishment on the way to the ultimate goal? That the citizen animal is of no more worth to this planet than a useless eater taking up space that could be mangled into profitability with a little shift in perception accomplished though the multitaskers' attention deficit hyperactivity disorder information storm pulsating with blazing personalized come-ons? My decision is made, seriously, is there any decision? I'm merely looking for some unlikely argument for the other side in case I missed something. I've been through this before with an earlier blog hosted on our former ISP and it turned out badly making blogger seem such a good find. I was shut out of my original blog because the visitor limit was exceeded, which was, ahem, a shock. Just a few minutes ago I tried to access that blog and the message reads forbidden access on their server which says only their ISP customers are allowed to visit, provided those visitors remain under whatever viewing limit is being imposed. Its no great loss, but typical of the surprises you come across in these strange days. If we go by recent history, it can only become more of what it already is.
In closing, I have to say, it does appear another long term relationship is in the throes of crashing. It did not have to be this way fellas.

Boy Nina I hate google, one reason I switched to word press. There some things I didn't like but all in all I liked it better. One thing that bugged me was you cannot delete a comment on another blog. You have to ask the person to do it. When you leave a video link at least on mine it opened the thing up and then the sopa bs came out and basically saying you could get five even if you were connected to an illegal video some way made me wonder why I am doing all this. I never quite made it to 700 hits a day and sometimes wondered if I was just talking to myself. Wordpress will tell you how many hits a day and where they are coming from though. They have a nice set up along those lines.
I do like word press much better. Maybe Vivek will chime in on this, he has one. You could just start a word press and gradually move things over, it is pretty easy to do, I did it once.
Maybe you could put up the link from bho on the noises. I wasn't sure which one you meant. I am always interested in that kind of thing.
By the way there is new mystery disease sweeping new york, young girls going st. vitus but they don't seem to ask what their shot history was. That was one main reason I had a blog to maybe mention to people about vaccine and save a life here and there, plus my own rants about the calendar and earth changes.

One thing did brighten my day, I got a long mail from a friend for life in the BP. If you were illegal you didn't want him receiving your paper work believe me. He sent a bunch of stuff on the obama hearings on Georgia and how the guy was illegal. Not much new I followed it for years but what was funny as hell, he sends this stuff to people he knows personally in the Royal Canadian Mounties, various judges, the NY state police all over the bp to guys he knows. It was kind of funny. They judge may rule he can't be on the ballot there in Georgia and is subject to be arrested and deported!!! That is if he enters the state.

While at this point in time, I am free to spout my anarchist musings without any fear of retribution, other free-thinkers in past "free" societies have over time found themselves brutally at the mercy of small changes.
kM, welcome! As you always do, an interesting point has been brought up, we sail along seemingly free while all around us fences are constructed. I'm not at all sure which side of the fence we live anymore. There have always been complaints, at least as long as I've been around, from long time bloggers, but they didn't seem to apply. Google has made certain they do now, to everyone. They will end up with a lot of fluff just like the competitors they want to emulate and overtake. You can see it coming from miles away.
I'll let you know how it unfolds. Such a drag, hunh.
Mick, the acronym "HAARP" suggests chords and tones, does it not? On the other hand, do we have any inner Earth sound recordings? If drilling miles down under the seabed is possible, so are deep Earth sounds. Wouldn't that be like shifting and crashing? And if inner Earth sounds are available, couldn't that be used to evacuate people before big quakes?
This is reminding me of drones over the US, they've been around a while as I've mentioned previously, why didn't they put them to good use finding people lost in show, alive, rather than dead from hypothermia. That would have given away the secret? Secrecy takes precedence over salvation?

I have seen an opinion by the Japanese guy, forget his name, he thinks it is haarp. The same cause of this could be coming from below as well, vibrations playing against underground minerals as well as above ground and you have the trees almost forming a wood wind instrument.

I don't know if I have mentioned this before but the search engine "Gibiru" works great. I have always used scroogle but they are reduced to using scrapings off google and google is fixing things where the most important things that should show up, don't show up. It is that simple.
I am finding with Gibiru which is put together by mavericks for internet freedom, that many things I consider important show up first. Take a look at it. By the way their emblem is the winged globe, planet X, Nibiru or winged globe of the Greeks.

Been awhile since I had anything to say here, great poem Ghost Rider, good to see the familiar people here, it's like coming home.
That is one reason to keep the blog going (and I address both Pam & Murph and Nina here) is that the communities you host are real even if they are digitally based.
The other reason is, as Nina observed, without our little digital tribes, we feel like the last person on Earth who didn't drink the soma/Kool-Aid etc.
Very few of us interact with like-minded people in the real world, so we need our digital communities to renew our sanity. At least that's my experience.
I too consider closing down oftwominds.com from time to time, not because I have concluded web/digital communities are worthless but because the workload is crushing. What keeps me doing the work is the occasional email from people saying they appreciate finding some honesty, humanity, etc. on the web. In other words, somebody's gotta do it.
I am not a techie but I have managed to navigate the web with HTML since 1998. The keyword buzz-acronym here is CMS--content mgt. software (or systems). Wordpress is one. It has many security holes and requires constant vigilance/updates not be hacked or crippled. If you understand this going in, then it may be fine. I found it very complicated though that may be due to my general knuckleheadedness with new tech things.
I have been advised to switch to some CMS and may go with Druple later this year. For the time being I still use what I understand, HTML, hosted on a dedicated server that is mine, mine, mine for a price ($230/month). I also maintain a mirror site on blogger in case my server crashes.
I see the privacy issue as ubiquitous--it's everywhere, not just blogger. Does the good of the blog outweigh the bad/privacy downside? IMO yes the good far outweighs the bad. It is possible to lower the threshold of privacy loss, but since so much of our public records are already available for $19.95 (or whatever the snoop sites charge), then how much more damage is done by blogger? I am not sure, but I doubt it outweighs the good generated by online communities such as this one.
Nina, you can always host your site on my server, if you wish. WordPress scares me, I have seen too many Wordpress sites hacked or crashed to host it, but if you find a more stable open-source hosting software, then I have plenty of room and bandwidth on my dedicated server.
The great irony of all these content mgt. systems is that plain old HTML is transparent and easy to learn. All you need is Notepad or Apple's equivalent.
You put it so brilliantly, as usual--"the tools we trained ourselves to use" were presented as "easy" but they all come with caveats.
I am sincere about the hosting offer. I just need to understand the CMS software before I upload it.
It is painful (by design, or just the way the world works now?) to switch platforms. I hope you keep this site going by whatever means are necessary.
The loss of privacy frightens me at times because it is so deep and pervasive, but on the other side, to be exposed as a real human being has an upside too.

Secondly, I need to clarify something about hosting and managing websites. Blogspot offers both the content mgt. software (the interface) and hosts the site for free. Hosting the site gives them all the control.
If you use a 3rd party content mgt software like MS Front Page or an Adobe product (used to be called GOLive), then you load that software on a host server like mine. Then you're unconstrained and on your own (except of course for secret surveillance and/or court orders...)
Basic web content mgt. software from vendors like Adobe shouldn't be too hard to learn and is fairly stable. I am guessing the interface is similar to blogspot--others can probably advise you better than I on this topic.

What you are saying opens up a whole new range of possibilities. BTW, can you recommend an email provider? If I charted what is most obnoxious about the "new privacy policy", the email red line is way up there, past foreclosures. Isn't every normal American citizen taught from toddlerhood, you don't read other people's mail? Its not the conversations as much as its the ubiquitous cultural genocide. Maybe they will rule that citizens must live in glass houses, naked, eating GMO foods and watching TV on our Iphones.

Aang, here's something interesting, whenever I sign into gmail, for months my browser says youtube for a second and then switches to gmail. This would lead one to think they are affiliated, the question then becomes if you drop one part of the system, for our purposes that would be blog and email (or youtube, as you did), would one have to close each account individually to remove oneself from the whole google system?
And here's something else, everything they say they are going to do is what we always figured they did.

Once again, I am more worried about people knowing my physical address than snooping on my email--I try to avoid hot-button words that the NSA computers might scan for: T-rr-r-st etc.
We can exchange emails (heheh) to discuss the details of such a switch. You will need to buy the DNS to deepintoartlifewest.com or something like that and the rights to the URL (the domain name).
Then when we load your site on oftwominds, the actual URL will be something like http://www.oftwominds.com/nina/blog.html but visitors will type in deepintoartlifewest.com and be redirected without knowing the "real" server address.
Sounds complicated but it's like having a PO Box address on the web: you need a name and the address.
There will be a learning curve if you switch to GoLive or a similar packaged website software, but it probably won't be too bad if you start small and search for others who have already done it a few times.
It isn't easy to ditch the services we've gotten accustomed to.... and it takes a lot of money and time to do so. I have never regretted having my own server and a simple site that I actually understand the coding of.

Russian scientists have analyzed the sounds being heard around the world. This guy says they are real and they are getting louder and will continue to get louder. He says they can be made by are caused by basically acoustic gravity waves and, get this,

He says they have been going on for sometime but now they are loud enough to hear and will get louder.
Golly gee ain't that what most of us have been saying for sometime. I think we should all apply for our honorary degree from the Russian academy and crazy horse and a few others should be included. You know I am thinking certain figures knew this would happen long ago. I think there are certain archetypes or geometric designs natural thrown off by the sun and ancients like the plumed serpent knew this somehow. Sure explains how the pattern of a plumed serpent showed up in a field in the U.K.
I don't doubt however the comedians will now have a field day producing their own sounds for youtube. It is almost inevitable and easy to do.

Hey Dublin Mick,
The grape cure just turned up yesterday, I became inquisitive after your comments. Man it seems pretty full on when taken to the limit.
Can you relate your experience with me on your 3 week cure you had? I was thinking of doing a 3 week cure. I am already quite lean so loosing heaps of weight concerns me as I know from times past how long it can take me to put it back on. Saying that, the cure may well get my body into better balance and have no trouble putting the kilo's back on?
The spiritual side of the equation is my main desire for what I would like to accomplish with the cure, I would like to keep the whole experience balanced though, as I do have a tendency to take things to the extreme.
I would much appreciate any thoughts you have on this.
Also Comfrey seems quite interesting.

I can say this it was many years ago when i went 3 weeks. I was over weight, about 225 pounds. While on this I would put on a sweat suit and play basketball daily. I end up about 170 pounds Began eating salads and what not again and frankly I never felt better. It took much of the impurities out of the body. The food tasted better after that. The theory is something in grapes breaks down the outer wall of cancer cells.
You can get weak on it however it is a real challenge. I also cheated once in while with grapefruit and grape fruit juice which doesn't slow it down much and a swig of red wine here and there. (It is all grapes!)
I do a one weeker here and there however, need one now. Also if it is too much at first eat grapes and almonds and then start again. The edgar Cayce studies indicated that grapes mixed with almonds is like a blood transfusion due to the high level protein in an almond and also the laetrile/B17.

Just as Freeacre said about her pup who would eat the treat she'd leave for him when she came home - hours later, I gave Bernie a bowl of buttered noodles (yes, its spagetti night) and put him in the bedroom to eat since Jake always finishes first and "assists" Bernie in cleaning their plates. I went in to check on The Berns ten minutes later and only then did he begin dining. Too Sweet! He wasn't going to eat his noodles until I was with him.
I just saw you posted again Your Scrapness, you are so intuitive, how did you know I am looking more in the cleansing areas than healings for incurables, which gets saved for later if ever something happens to anybody that requires it.
