Following the bomb's birth from Enola Gay's belly, right away the victorious occupiers began a study, now documented in the National Geographic Explorer series "The First 24 Hours After Hiroshima" as if it was an altruistic thing, a study concerning exactly what happens to detonation sites aka Ground Zeroes, for the good of the future. I'll say that again so you can interpret what that was supposed to mean in the year 1945 AD ... The-Good-of-the-Future. You would think, wouldn't you, having researched and tested and retested the incredible damage done to life and infrastructure from genocidal weapons of mass destruction that there would be no such thing as a Nuclear Lobby and nuclear power plants, anywhere. But the satanic treasure chests these things bring forth have a hold like none other. It is
Regarding recent comments on "Simplicity" during our last posting here, Hiroshima, Nagasaki and Fukushima, and all the people purchasing and using dosimeters, losing their homes and livelihoods, their families and their faith and the many who are already ill and dying of radiation poisoning, and for the remainder of their lifetimes live in paranoia cancer will one day take them down, birth defects, contaminated food, NONE of it had to happen, even Somalia's famine did not have to happen IF we had been a loving, compassionate, spiritual people from the start. Now we have layer upon layer of unnecessary complexity (©John Michael Greer) jamming up the works so that nothing flows smoothly or efficiently. Its almost as if we grew catalytic converters out of the tops of our heads to survive the Twentieth Century and no one pointed out how absurd and unnecessary it was so we went further and built monolithic exploding catalytic converters in every vacancy the money was available to pay for it, and if the money wasn't there, the IMF was. This is insane because a catalytic converter does not make a vehicle's engine run. It is an unnecessary and expensive "part" that must be rigorously inspected every year or two depending on your state's DMV requirements in order to register a vehicle (again, that does not need it to "go") to be deemed legal, i.e.; free from impounding. (Mandate alert) This analogy is only one of billions cataloging unnecessary parts, actions, expenses, activities, employments and improvements in progress, growth and market opportunities that make life for everyone a Brillo scathing hell on Earth.
Not a day passes in our lives we are not somehow impacted by senseless tragedy. Every dead animal run over on our streets is another senseless tragedy. Make way, its Man! Run, run.
For the past two days there has been a curious discussion for the masses started by a NYT opinion columnist's piece concerning angry space aliens warring with Earthlings because we trashed this place and our trash threatens the balance of the galaxy. The MSM is having a diversionary heyday with the idea. Little do they realize how close to the truth they may well be. Unfortunately, it is just another PR trick to 1. divert public attention and 2. deny responsibility. Aliens have every right to be angry and you'd better believe if they were warring with us, you would not need the MSM to carry on in satire to tell you about it from their moral depths of sheer depravity and lush experiences rewriting history to suit the victors.
How can anyone call themselves a victor anyway when to achieve that label, entire nations lose everything? Collateral damage is a nation. There is no such thing as blowing up a region without civilian deaths, even at testing sites, if the bomb doesn't kill them, cancer will. They have yet to design a selective bomb affecting solely combatants no matter how many joystick jockeys wearing cammies and jackboots guide the drones. Does it make the Victors feel good to kill and mutilate, is that feeling good the feeling of victory, pride, honor and glory? Let's get real here my friends, those are not feelings descriptive of anything remotely simple, humble or compassionate. Those feelings are only more of the full-on twenty first-century advancement in the catalytic converter model of progress.
For an exercise in what you do not need in order to live a kind and decent life, look around you at this very minute and count the many things, elements, situations, behaviors in your very own location of the moment that you do not need for your survival. While I have said here many times we can boil the righting of most everything wrong down to Do No Harm, we should add to that: Do No Harm and Unburden Yourself of Excess. Be ready for anything, unconsciously, while everything you attempt becomes itself, doing it so perfection in action is achieved as you and "the attempting you" are integrated in the simplicity of one streamlined model of natural efficiency.
Has anyone read Eugen [sic] Herrigel's Zen and the Art of Archery? Highly recommended. You can find references to it, but good luck locating the work. Just as wonderful is Gilbert Highet's The Mystery of Zen describing Herrigel's journey into archery under the tutelage of a Zen Master. Again, that work appears to be only available in the Norton Anthologies, compilations of brilliant stories and essays, most of which are not available online. If you should come across either work, you will discover a beautiful way to think about not thinking unnecessary thoughts and integration of your actions into the activity itself.
Here is a very simple thing: The Wildlife Center in New Mexico needs our help. As a wildlife lover, I have an insatiable desire to give over to the cause and ask you to join me. This summer's horrific fires created a deluge of wildlife in need and we must help however, wherever possible. While you are downsizing your lifestyles, please consider sending your extras to the location where they will be most useful.
The following is a quote from Cheryl at the Wildlife Center:
... For those interested in monetary donations, checks can be mailed to The Wildlife Center ... or donations can be made via PayPal on our website ... For those who wish to donate food and other supplies, here is a current list of needs. If somebody wants to donate produce, please have them check with us prior to purchase to ensure we don’t have too much of one thing on any given day, as some items cannot be frozen ...Dry kibble dog food – puppy and adult
· Dark leafy greens (no iceberg or cabbage)
· Celery
· Carrots
· Grapes
· Bananas
· Apples, other fruit
· Honey
· Gerber Rice Cereal Boxes
· Apple sauce
· Frozen mixed veggies (NO LIMA BEANS!)
· Wild Dove Food (PetSmart)
· Finch and Canary Seed (PetSmart)
· Wild Bird Seed (limited amounts)
· Bleach
· Powdered Laundry Detergent
· Paper Towels
· Ziploc Bags – Freezer, Quart and Gallon
· Copy paper
My note: If you can get produce shipped with a one day delivery it might work, otherwise, I'd go for the less perishable items on the list. Injured bears are the heavy users of dry dog food. Our Animals and Avian bredren are gravely suffering and we must make it up to them or we will lose them forever. Address, email, etc. at the website.

Hello Nina....many people have been dipping into satan's treasure chest and the time is nearing for less access to receipes for disaster...this mercury retrograde has been personally tragic in my world....two young men, close to me ,killed in senseless violence....may they rest in peace....
As far as I know, most people in this age, are only streaming about twenty five percent God Consciousness. Using your auto analogy, most of us are only driving around in first gear..
It is truly amazing that we express as much love as we do for each other....ONELOVE
Hi Terrance, please accept my condolences on your losses. Senseless violence? If you can, tell me what happened. If you don't want to, that's perfectly understandable.
Using your auto analogy, most of us are only driving around in first gear.. while looking in the rear view mirror.
Thank you Nina.... One of the young men was 19 and a fine individual and was killed through drinking and driving...And the other was 32 and shot himself... Leaving his ex and young son ?
I always figured it's about how you get yourself back up, after life knocks you down...
Heavy blows Terrance. Who is to say which is worse. Kick back a week or so and give yourself time to think your amazing thoughts. You will find your way after allowing it to come to you.

Lao Tzu says, «The universe is sacred.» Only when humans see that Nature is alive and full of soul, will we cease our destruction of it.
I was just yesterday remarking about how ridiculously complex humans have made everything, and how wasteful this is, and how difficult it makes it just to exist anymore, let alone accomplish anything of value. (Red tape issues foiling our efforts to do what we want on our own property - arggh!).
Completely eschewing the whole system is the only answer, and of course that is made virtually impossible as well.
@Anonymous,
I completely agree with you (and Lao Tzu). Also yesterday, I wrote this to a friend:
"Gaia/Sophia has been the portal through which so much Divine Light has come to me. As I have fallen in love with Her I have fallen in love with Creation, and I am amazed at how much people who do not have this connection are missing. I believe our world would be a very different (and harmonious) place if we all had more of this awareness of Her as a conscious, magnificent being."
May it be so.
I'll throw in a second on Zen and the Art of Archery although I've never done archery and not enough zazen. The book is worth special ordering.
How much we are like naked primates hurling spears into the dark when we see the first glint of an eye reflecting back. Heedless. My tribe's behind ME and whatever THAT is isn't us. It's just bigger spears we're throwing but the reasons are the same.
I attended a wedding this weekend past of two very earth-loving people and yet had to bite my tongue to not question their sanity. The reception had many beautiful young women wandering around looking forlorn because there was a distinct shortage of suitable escorts. I wasn't volunteering; not being suitable myself. The young men have simply given up. They don't even try.
In Libya, Syria and London people are simply fighting for space. Space to be something other than useless. Space to be more than a drone. Space to breathe before the next day of madness. The actual sides don't even matter. The guys who have to run around with guns and get shot don't really get to decide things before or after revolutions. It's something to do. A way to build reputations and earn points, to buy space. Freedom to breathe or freedom to no longer wake up to the pain.
Life in Creation: "I believe our world would be a very different (and harmonious) place if we all had more of this awareness of Her as a conscious, magnificent being."
I believe you are right. In hopes that science is beginning to catch up to the metaphysical concept of a sentient universe, I ran across this article today regarding plasma, which makes up the vast majority of what the Universe is made of.
"What is Plasma?
Plasma is the fourth state of matter. It differs from solids, liquids and gases in so far as it's atoms are divided into free-floating 'negative' electrons and 'positive' ions (an atom which has lost its electron/s). It is sometimes referred to as an ionized gas.
Students are generally taught about only three states of matter, and when Plasma does get a mention, little importance is assigned. Not only should plasma be added to the list, but the order should be reversed to put it in first place. The reasons for this will become clear.
The term Plasma was borrowed from blood plasma in order to describe its almost life-like and self-organising properties.
Plasma sometimes emits light when under the excitation of electrical and magnetic fields. Polar auroras bear witness to this fact."
Personally, I think that plasma may be the first step from Spirit/Consciousness into form. It is the sacred fabric of the Universe. It's not just "empty space." It's wonderful.
And, when guided by our Sacred Mother, it becomes that from which all things spring.
Forgive my metaphysical indulgence. It's what keeps me from slitting my throat when I read about what is going on in Libya, etc.
Freeacre: ...And, when guided by our Sacred Mother, it becomes that from which all things spring.
Overlooked intentionally perhaps? Such knowledge would have been heavy competition for the old man in the sky religions while they were promoting monotheism.
Hmm, freeacre, you've given me something new to ponder. I've never thought about plasma before, I must admit.
I looked it up and found this in an article "The biggest chunk of plasma you will see is that dear friend to all of us, the sun."
Father Sun... Mother Earth... an alchemical meeting. Their sacred marriage bringing forth Life. Yes, it makes sense.
Wonderful.
every choice that I make is about how to get out from under the complexity model. it sounds pat, but, focused on the moment is the way to go; paying attention to the little miracles and savoring them as if it will never be again. enjoyed the comments about having california fever; maybe next lifetime.

We often forget that everything is connected. We are nature and then we go back to the earth.Frank Lloyd Wright once say, “Nature is my church.” The universe is made of stars that are gurus, not gurus who are stars. Every tree, every flowing stream a priest that can comfort you in times of strife. Every mountain, ocean, and tree, a master who can say the exact words to make you see clearly. Look to the universe for knowledge, Let it be the holy spirit that guides you. Tao most willing teacher if student is ready to learn.

Wow they just had a 6.0 quake around Washington. I wonder if mount Weather was affected. 2 nuke plants in Virginia shut down.

Nina_ Thank you for the picture of the Okra flower. I can never understand why people don't appreciate it more. Possibly because it's not such a good cut flower but neither are morning glories.
Gumbo's good too.
Dubs, can't get thru on cell, so I texted family members in the quake area, answer came thru right away, all is fine, was quickly recognized as a quake, crazy shaking, but no damage.
Mu secret worry is there is a nuke plant in the quake area and I have no idea what is happening with it... yet.
Also, it is unsettling that particular plate is on the move. Colorado then Virginia? And a cat 4 hurricane moving in?
Nature is speaking to us!
And Dubs, you are a welcome sight dude. Hunker down now. We'll see you after the 'cane passes. Be safe!
Pangolin, Hot Springs Wizard told us last week that plant is Loco Weed. My Audonbon says it is a Southwestern thorn Apple, but HSW reminded me it goes by many names. The Fireteachers says it is bella donna.
I wouldn't eat it or let the dogs have a munch.
And the thing is SO beautiful, but appears out of nowhere and is vanishing quickly. By this weekend it will be as if it was never there.
Check the last few comments on the last post for HSW's comment.
Pangolin, let me saave you the trouble of location HSW comment, here it is:
I really like the new photo you have up of the Angels Trumpet ( the flower of the Datura is called by many names ). I collected seeds from wild ones
growing in the desert around our home and planted them all over in our yard. There are many blooming even now. They bloom at night then wilt in the growing days heat. The flowers are magnificent!
Some type of animal or bird eats the leaves of these Jimson alot even though I've never seen who's doing it. Sneaky they are :-) I find that odd because Datura contains a strong deliriant and can be highly toxic. I've read
that cats sometimes eat Datura and my neighbors lean hunter cat comes over pretty often so maybe he is the culprit :-) He does act kind of crazy sometimes. He will be friendly then the next thing you know he grabs you with his claws. You just have to be quicker than the kitty :-)
I've read that Datura intoxication creates states of mind where people have a complete inability to differentiate reality from fantasy. Thats why in the old times they used to call it Loco Weed. Skilled traditional Shamans use it, but its highly ill advised for all others. I read a story of a man that just walked off of a cliff because he thought that he could fly!
Hmmm, It seems you're correct. it's odd because now that I look at it and look at the pictures pulled up on Google it definately looks like Jimson Weed.
I just wanted to see an okra flower in there.
b.t.w._Angels trumpet and jimson weed are very different things. The flower of the angels trumpet hangs down from a bush.
If one absolutely cannot resist the desire to consume angels trumpet the proper way is to dry it, mix with a small amount of tobacco or sage and smoke it. Potency varies wildly from plant to plant and time of day. Do NOT consume orally for that reason.
How anyone could walk, much less fly after such an act would be a mystery to me.
The end of the Jimson weed blog has a line: Please do not consume, it can be very fatal.
Very fatal, is that different than plain old fatal?
I took a long look at it again today Pangolin and its the real thing. It even has spikey green fruit covering a nut or seed. We never had this plant here before, I wonder why it chose this location for its brief life. The squirrels may have been nibbling, something has take bites. This might explain the rash of squirrel suicides on the road.
Nicky Ashford died today
Regarding this you wrote Pangolin:
" b.t.w._Angels trumpet and jimson weed are very different things. The flower of the angels trumpet hangs down from a bush. "
Angel's trumpet is a common name for both Datura/Jimson, and for the species you referenced:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angel's_trumpet
Note the Datura/Jimson link.
Great photo Nina! I really like the look of the whole Datura plant, stems, leaves and the flowers. They look like something from another planet :-)
HSW
Maybe they are, Wizzy. It wouldn't surprise me.
Pangolin, regarding this you wrote, " How anyone could walk, much less fly after such an act would be a mystery to me ", in this accounting from the individual himself he was camping with friends, ingested the Datura and became so delirious that he wandered away from their camp and walked right off a cliff, saying afterwards that at the time he thought that he could fly. He did live but was severly injured.
From Wikipedia a cautionary note:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Datura
" The overwhelming majority of those who describe their use of Datura find their experiences extremely mentally and physically unpleasant and often physically dangerous "
And for more about Datura:
http://www.erowid.org/plants/datura/
If you look at the photo on this page, or check out the " images " link you will see that Nina's photo is of a Datura.
You can experience the effects of Datura safely by just reading the list of " experiences " at the bottom, like one titled " A Tale of Nudity, Arrest & Insanity....., by Crystallinesheen " :-)
You know Nina there are squirrels that come to our front yard where all the Datura has been eaten with abandon. I haven't seen any suicided squirrels yet. Maybe these squirrels are a little smarter and realize that everything in moderation is the wise course :-)
HSW
Perhaps it is insects, I have not witnessed the munchers, but all of the leaves have bite marks. I want that plant to leave, I fear for the wildlife. Its made some pretty flower photos for us, but that seems to be its only good feature.
BUT, there was a time it was a known herbal remedy, when the leaves were finely ground, a few grains burned and the smoke lightly inhaled, supposedly cleared asthma. I believe that to be true since all life forms have a purpose.
It may be that animals use it for something we don't know. Maybe it has undiscovered properties and maybe animals know a lot more about what Nature does that we ever will? Its being reported today that animals knew the Richmond earthquake was coming before it happened.
the thing that makes datura unpleasant is the temporary blindness. In florida, they banned people from having angel trumpet bushes (like my mom who loved them). My brother, who has pretty much tried every hallucinogen on earth said the datura was too much work.
okra: best sliced and lightly cornmeal breaded and fried. ALso good stir fried in wok with a hint of honey and fresh chile.
that jimson weed looks like the root stock for hybrid morning glory varieties.
Nina today i found an american coot missing a part of his foot at lake burton. He took food from me. from my hand. Im guessing he was left behind when all the others went north for the summer. His wing was wrong too. I considered trying to catch him and take him to a rehab - but he seemed to be managing okay - but was lonely. he hung out on the dock with a bunch of people like he was just one of the girls. Beautiful scalloped green feet and a ivory white bill and red eyes. not good eating - theres a bit of good luck for the fella!
Ooooo chickory, I wish you could get him under your care at the farm. He might always be disabled and will need a safe home with good company. I will look him up in my Bird bible tonight and get the low down.
Andrew Wyeth did a fabulous work with Coots: The Coot Hunter
Re: IRENE
Tropical Storm Force Wind Speed Probabilities - Loop
Self-updates too.
Hope no one minds, but I put up last week's header photo considering the amount of interest in Datura, its the same plant, same blossom. They close up at night.
I know, i know. I debated for the longest time my ability to take him - if i could catch him. he would take food from my outstretched hand but if you tried to ease in on him he jumped off the deck and into the lake. I was just there for the day, however, now that we have talked, I wonder if one of my friends that are still at the lake house can get him. believe me, we discussed the pros and cons of this very action - deciding that he had been able to forage out a living and soon the others would return. the poor coot did take a beating from a lady wood duck and escaped by diving under and swimming away. when he emerged we were blown away by how far he had traveled.
Nina, I doubt the plant will hurt the animals, birds etc since they appear to have natural instincts ( know their limits ) about poisens like Datura. We have alot of various wildlife running and flying around outside, doves, quails, chuckers, ravens, foxes, coyote, bobcat, squirrels, chipmunks, kangaroo rats, regular rates, mice, gophers, etc and they all appear healthy. Which ever of them is eating or chewing on the Datura it doesn't appear to be causing any harm to them.
The leaves and stems have a very strong pungent smell ( one nickname being Stink Weed ) which probably is part of the reason why most live things avoid it.
I have caught on a few occasion big three inch long bright green ( with other colors ) catapillars on the Jimson eating the leaves and they will consume quite alot. You have to really look to spot them on the green leaves chewing away. It makes me wonder how they can tolerate eating so much of it.
If you don't want the plant around you should remove it because they do tend to reseed themselves given the right conditions, and also they can come back anew each year depending on the variety, or favorable soil conditions.
Regarding the blossoms, the buds increase in size until they finally bloom at night ( another nickname, Moon Flower ) and then they are so delicate that they wilt pretty quickly from the days heat. I have never seen them fold up again once they bloom.
That photo you put back up of the Datura flower getting ready to open reminds me of a spiral galaxy. A beautiful piece of Mother Natures art :-)
HSW
I can just imagine the debate. Maybe you can see how the inquiry to catch him is met, see how difficult or easily he wants to go. If the flow is more smooth than rough, it could happen.
There is no more captivating art than Nature.
Wow. That flower is amazing.
Datura plant is sacred to Shiva and the leaves are prescribed offering to the Shivalingam. I have heard of its specialness to some native american tribes and found it growing while on a pilgrimage of southern calif native tribal holy places (pilgrimage happens every October in Orange and L.A. counties - powerful!)
Datura leaves are used as a medicine for asthma, and I was advised to smoke some in the Himalayas for countering tobacco irritation of lungs. It was a very mild and soothing smoke (dried leaves). You NEVER want to smoke or consume the seeds, nor probably eat the leaves either.
That said, I tried eating a bunch in '68 and that was the most unpleasant 'trip' of my life. I couldn't swallow for 3 days, my eyes were extremely dilated, and I hallucinated continuously. I couldn't lay down because of all the weird creatures covering all the surfaces (many pleading for me to save them from other predators), articles of clothing kept shouting at me, magazine pictures tried to seduce me, and my only option was to walk out into the streets of Vancouver naked. Fortunately, friends led me back inside. Flying could have been easily imagined.
Not recommended for kids of all ages.
Thanks for the Wildlife Center mention. Intake seems to be a steady stream, and this is probably happening with our wild brethren all over the southwest drought areas.

What do you bet they are not evacuating the Pentagon or the UN headquarters?
You just know something else is happening underneath the hurricane panic, vast preparations for Syria perhaps?
Can anyone tell me which planet is that incredibly large, bright, beautiful one seen in the eastern sky currently?
Life, it its slightly northeast, you could be seeing Arcturus. It its slightly southeast, you could be seeing Vega. Both huge and beautiful.
Or, Life, are you seeing this?

And while we're at it, I am beginning to have grave reservations about this 'cane blitz. for example, those of us who went through Andrew know that one was a 5 on the Safir Simpson scale. Irene is a 2 and occasionally a 1.

i figured the over hype about irene was just to placate the sheeple into believing that their government is still capable of 'keeping them safe".
was fascinated with your comment about wall street trading as usual but the public transport shut down.
strange how quickly we have learnt to question what we see.
a correction,
we don't question what we see, we question what we are told.
I suppose the hurricane was also a good cover for bad news,,,,emphasis off oligarchal death cultists and their pets for a short while, and another chance for them to profit from all the unfortunate people who did get hit badly
anyway can anyone really calculate the results of a storm that big??that would be a task I would think..

Okehampton is spooky cool!....here's something very cool....------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If God knows everything there is to know,
Then I ask: how can God learn or grow?
If you knew all that was and all that will be,
Then how can any decision you make be free?
If you were everything and everything was you,
Then there would be nothing for you to do;
And there we find God, in this very position,
Imprisoned by the power of his own condition,
But there is a way to escape from this net,
All that God would have to do is forget,
Forget what He was and in ignorance find
Choice and free will, from confusion of mind;
And so God created a plane of limitation,
That confusing place we call creation,
A place of ignorance where we're free to choose,
Free to make mistakes and free to lose;
For only a being who knows not what is true
Has the free will to choose what to do;
Through us God can live, think, feel and see,
And experience He knew, but now He can be;
Yet though we've forgotten where we come from,
The closer we get, the happier we become,
With control of awareness you can return,
But you have less choice the more you learn;
Each mortal longs for the infinite's touch,
Yet the infinite longs to know not so much;

Nina, it is more southeast, so it could be Vega. It couldn't be the supernova because I first spied it before the article said it would be visible. I'll have to keep my eyes out for it though this coming weekend.

If you are looking from the USA and your star is in the southeast it might even possibly be a planet rising. To help identify see if you can find which constellation it is either in or near, this will either help identify the star or rule out a planet. Hope this is of some help anyway.
Oh and I'll think I might pass on a Datura trip after reading Bholanath's account too. Cheers B!
I sent a text to my daughter yesterday telling her that the shit in the world did not blind me what I have. The wealth of love and family. That I felt sorrow for the monsters never knowing just how beautiful life could be. They cannot see.
The other me is in a earth shaking rage that I try to hide.
Whipped back and forth you look at people and wonder what it is they see.
Is this a test of our humanity?
And I listened to someone speak of empathy for our animals and identified. It was about increasing our emphatic response to our surroundings..I got it...not the brute I was.
Life In Creation I wrote a poem about Sophia a while back. She is alive and everything has ki(chi).
I don't comment much anymore but only because all of you have my thoughts.
And you don't need my words.
To be honest, sometimes I am horrified, sometimes scared mostly for my children.
I say this mantra true or not. I am an immortal being having a mortal life. we'll see.
Reading The First Sex by Elizabeth Gould Davis about the Ancient matriarchal civilizations. As I was reading I had this incredible longing as if I knew what that might be like and I had experienced it. Our Patriarchal society is not so much eh hosers.
We all pray to keep our humanity intact in days to come, the best to us all.
I'll put my Sophia poem back up at the top of my blog so you can read it or not Life In Creation.
Nina,
I inadvertently take care of stray cats who have found my cats food dish to be a source of endless culinary delight. Ants seem to like cat food so I had to put it outside in a large dish of water separating the food..think moat ha ha. So I have my cat Zeq, and now Mr. C, One Eye, and Little Guy and possibly others I have not seen yet.
I am still here until I'm not..thinking of all of you and the rest who see a little
LIC I have been wondering about that star...Jupiter?..or not.I have become interested in astronomy but know nothing of substance just the beauty.
Hey Burnie -
I think that's the coolest mantra ever. Can I borrow it? Or could you whisper it in my ear or something?
Always nice when you show up wherever.
Great to have (and serve) the feral felines in your 'hood. My fave local charity org is 'feral felines rescue'.
Thanks for the 'Sophia'.

Sure Bho,
I heard it someplace..Jay Weidner I think...I think everyone should at least think on it. De cats ha ha. One of my daughters has 2 outside and three inside. They are wonderful little gifts to us. Again, last night I yelled in joy when the whale got the nets off. I have seen a gray whale sound to its tale flukes 200 feet from me, and watched a dolphin swim through the curl of a wave..no words suffice. I liked the Shri Yantra. Going to look into it.
Thanks Bho
Did you measure to attain your height?
Did you use geometry to radiate your limbs?
Did you lament storm-torn branches?
Did you inventory your leaves for the sun?
You did none of these things, yet man in his cleverness
Cannot match your perfection.
When will we give up the artificiality of our tiresome lives and cleave instead to what is natural? All the achievements of man are only monuments to overwhelming pride. There has not been a single man-made item that has been a necessary improvement to the earth. Did we need the Great Wall of China? Did we need the pyramids of Egypt? Did we need the Colossus of Rhodes? Did we need mechanization, steam power, electricity, nuclear power, or computer technology? All our achievements have been for the sake of our exclusive comfort and gratification. We have only advanced the mad tangle of supply and demand that we call civilization.
We don't need all this "sophistication" in order to live with Tao. Our involvement in society blinds us to this fact. We ignore the natural order of our own bodies and minds and close ourselves to the point so that only sex and drugs are stimulating enough. We lament that we are lost and alienated. Ironically, the answers are right nearby. If you just go to the nearest tree and contemplate, you will easily see the secret to natural living.
Shaka and I dug some old lignum vitae roots today. Now to clean and see what beauties wait to show themselves.
Planted corn last evening, beans next. Trees doing well.
Best to all around the campfire.
turey.
@John-Yes, I believe it is a planet. But which one, I don't know. It is southeast of Orion's Belt, but not part of any constellation. Oh my goodness it is beautiful and so bright. Bigger and brighter than any I remember seeing.
@Burnie-Where is your poem for Sophia? I don't see it anywhere. Most of my poems are inspired by Her now. She is the basis of everything, I am learning. :) And I also would like to experience those ancient matriarchal civilizations, since you're right, this model we've got going on is shite. Have you been introduced to John Lash and his concept of Sophia's Correction? I think you may really dig it.
@Anonymous 7:23:00 AM - Love what you shared. Thanks. Agree absolutely.
Been blazing hot. Get a sweat under the tent every midday. Beach a walk down the road, soak and wash off.
Got an owl vase out of the roots so far. Dry, so hand watering the corn as much as water is available. Saw one bean break ground this morning.
Catchment and storage coming.
Hmmm 'Global Austerity'. Doncha worry, getting by on 5-10 lires of water a day. Eating lentils/red peas, brown rice, olive oil, whole wheat flour, fruit and veg one can stretch funds. Yea and country store stuff too. Found Brazilian alcohol canned heat. Made a mini wood stove with old cast iron ware for alt cooking. Soaking the kindling with some cooking oil kicks start fine.
Quitish weekend nights. Sat, the Adventists and the bars, Sunday, the rest. We have caves for super quite. Want to find the right one for a guitar and drum session.
One Love, turey.
New post up: a select destiny
Turey, you make me fill up with the sweetest memories and brand new wishes. Lentils on brown rice tonight in your honor.
I didn't see your comment LIfe In Creation. Just scroll down my page. The title is Repost..Sophia written by the masculine about the feminine. Some Ignorance displayed.
The bright star prominent is Jupiter. Now it is somewhat following the moon.
Early 4:00? You see Orion here in Redding and then Sirius comes up just below Orion at about 120 to 130 degrees SE. The sacred bull and the Pliedes are towards the East SE of Jupitor.
Hope you see this LIC. Love to all
Burnie
