It is unconsciously understood by logical people that panic is the least effective response to crisis whether it be creeping-crisis, mid-crisis or post-crisis, panic has nothing to offer and everything to worsen whatever problematic situation affects our human experience in general. Panic is a physical state where the trembling imagination swings into overdrive fantasizing often impossible possibilities all of which magnify the potential for cascading disaster, making whatever is happening into extremes of personal damage especially inclusive of what the term damage represents to the particular individual in crisis. (dam-age, i.e.; capture and block the natural progression of life) If you happen to be standing near someone in panic you will be subject to all the exponential multiples of why you too should join in. If you happen to bear some guilt related to the crisis incident, however minor or drastic, you will understand the contagion of panic and if your mind is on straight, you will note the futility of such behavior and instead do the right thing to resolve whatever is taking place that is causing panic, especially when panic is expressed among a wide variety of people, many of whom have no ability to rise above their fears to see what is actually taking place.
Since the dawn of the governed and governors, forcing panic is the favored tool for control of the slaves. However, panic, torturous and nonproductive, backfires when overused as it has been continuously, now more than ever before thanks to the mass mind whipped into frenzy by masquerading oxymoronic analytic punditry. Think George Anthony, according to his alleged mistress's testimony, in a state of panic after his granddaughter drowns in the family pool, "It was an accident that snowballed out of control." Think of the Orthodox hardware store stocker, who when he heard of the search for missing eight year-old Leibby Kletzy, likely seated quietly waiting for his ride to the Judaic bookstore, panicked and kills him, dismembering the defenseless child body and distributes the pieces in various locations. You have to ask what happened! The logical mind, cool under pressure, aware through multitudes of precarious circumstance, wants to know what would have happened if instead, someone had the wherewithal to do the right thing because on the other side of the moment is another moment, life comes in waves, and the next moment could have brought resolution rather than enlarging the hemorrhaging of panic.
It is helpful to be aware that nearly everything, perhaps all of what we hear coming from anyone who thinks themselves somehow more powerful, more Darwinianly "fit" for survival than ourselves, is inducement to panic. The intent is to have you become a follower, to lean on them for your every need eliminating any positive activities on your part, resulting in a sort of expansion of predatory power to suck you into any agenda that without the element of panic, is an agenda with which you would never have any involvement at all. It is the pressure to panic the populations that has created the very stupid situation the westernized world finds itself inside today. True believers have swallowed it all and refuse to see beyond the immediate. An excellent point made recently by Arthur Silber discussing Stockholm Syndrome was that of whatever relief we are allowed during the induced panic state is generally often viewed as a kindness thus leading us deeper into darker dungeons of torture and cruelty.
Once one achieves a certain level of spiritual development, induced panic has no effect. They might as well put that tool away now because as far as we overstand the national crisis, whatever effects are supposed to occur cannot take place without creating freak outbursts among the population at large that has become helpless and terribly confused so that any positive action that could be taken during the course of panic resolution appears in the imagination as the wrong action since any action at all is punishable by any means from instant penury to permanent social status as pariah/outcast or grossly disturbed mentally deficient to capital punishment by multiple injections of paralyzing chemical compounds. A person succumbed to panic naturally thinks he is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't and then whatever course of action follows rips off the bandages and unravels the stitches of social cohesion, bleeding all over everything making healing very nearly impossible.
I've noticed there are people who are entirely responsible to themselves and in direct contact at all times with the truth that terrorizing them is wasted energy. And certainly there are times when those same people are faced with genuine crisis, but having had experiences and understandings of those experiences unique to themselves, never panic. In other words, once you have died, you no longer fear death. Stated further, once you have allowed yourself to live fully, why would you fear death?
In perhaps the most glaring illustrations yet of how bizarre the governing process has become, these freak outbursts within the ranks tells us all we need to know to move on and leave the jackals quarreling over their kills. They overused the tools and fail to see themselves as berserk and pitiful grappling over spoils. We see them committing career suicides and it means everything to the mass mind, but what does it mean to us? Its supposed to mean TEOTWAWKI, but it does not. Life is everywhere, life is what we make it, peace is where we find it and dwells within us if only we are strong enough to stop handwringing and see it all for what it is. Sometimes, you want to put a hand on their shoulder and say, hey, get a grip there fella, but you don't dare unless you want to face off with snarling monsters in which case, winning with your life intact is definitely not an option.
I agree they make it hard to get there, but it is that difficulty that makes our journey ultimately worthwhile. If you achieve nothing else in this lifetime, to achieve inner peace regardless of predators and their freak offspring, the mass mind, you will have achieved a legacy worth the heartache of having been here.
The morass of legalities, justice and vengeance foisted upon the hapless for the ugly intention described above can be simplified and vastly improved by sticking to one easy rule taken to heart and always intended, Do No Harm. How we could ever get into that headspace now is a truly tedious, mind-numbing complexity that few will take the time to consider or even view as rational thought, except there is no alternative. If we cannot see the harm intended and where it is taking humanity, we will shortly extinct ourselves into oblivion exactly as is happening in real time. It is now more important to terrorize each other than explore the heavens. It has been coming on for ages, our ridiculous, tragic destiny to undermine humanity so that one portion appears to themselves, superior. And you know, it doesn't have to be that way if you, in your own heart, refuse to allow it any room to manifest.
If you are a new reader, it goes without saying you should not be confused between the mass mind and the one mind. There is literally an entire universe of difference.

Nothing worse than panicking....fear gone wild. Something new to me is emotional sobriety....serenity. If you let someone or something disrupt your serenity, than you have lost your sobriety.... I lose mine a lot...easier said than done.....
You think you lose it Terrance, but if you had it once, it comes back.
My crisis management system had me saying to myself, "I am where I am now so remember what it took to get here but the future starts now". I think you would make a heck of a leader in a jam and riveting advise to boot. R. Olausen, Edmonton, Alberta. headquarters to the largest swarm of mosquitoes in N. America. We gave a big whoopee when our avengers the dragonflies flew in for lunch.
Brilliant Nina,
Inspired me further.
We spend so much time trying to avoid the fear and panic by sticking plasters onto the patches of discomfort that the wound suppurates beneath the patch.
I think this country has been hit by the bankers. For me to feed this family on simple foods, no pre-cooked, pre-prepared stuff, just the basics, costs at least R1000 ( $250 dollars a week), electricity has become unaffordable. It is cheaper to buy clothes than to buy food.
Pieter is spinning out, as much time as he spends trying to provide, we fall behind.
He lies awake tossing and turning, I catch the thought as it comes in and say ah I see you.
For the truth is as much as we battle, we do eat well. As much as we struggle, there is peace.
I guess it is about changing the thinking pattern from future based thinking to present based living.
Right here, right now I lack absolutely nothing.
If I step into tomorrow I immediately become a pauper.
Right now I am fully alive and awake, when I step into tomorrow I already am a corpse awaiting the casket.
Like sunlight through the trees...When Su posted last year about Mckenna I actually found the book and downloaded the spoken version. and it was about what you are writing about here...knowing that you can choose how you are going to react and that is power. This post is even better...and I think I have a glimpse of it here at CHickory. I do think that choosing this life has helped me face down this hive mind that is broadcast on 800+ channels daily.
I wrote a post (as the rottweiler) recently about the Tilda Swinton W magazine spread which i believe reflects the sickness of the culture. what i wrote about one "outfit" was this:
This is the muse for the culture of death; the fashion of eugenics, sterility, non-individualism, anti-humanity, disease, and resource depletion. Washed out, antiseptic, outfitted with rubbery gloves, and replacement face (grown on the ass of a pig no doubt) and a neck bound in ace bandage to hide the sutures of Dr. Frankenstein. A plug, like 300 million others to be inserted into a Lagerfeld designed socket. The clinical appearance is like the angel of death -no, the administer-er of death, John Holdren's frozen hearted minion; a walking hypodermic needle filled with poison but labeled as progress. Not post-modern. Not post-Gaga. More like post-pestilence.
that was my contribution to 70 some odd responses (on the site that posted the spread) that found a woman decorated to look like a victim of industrial waste poisoning or cancer treatments "sexy".
I really do believe that they present horror over and over again so we will accept it as normality.
One of my commenters thinks im not conservative because i dont think fracking is a great way to make money with my (or anyones) private property. Ive seen what happens when economic opportunities roll into town..and what it looks like when they leave.
Great post. Youre like the angel in the desert with the first salutation
be not afraid.
I read that.
I just can't help feeling broken though.
Sauron has the ring, the Nazi's won, Vader has turned Luke to the Dark Side and Dorothy, the Tinman, and the Scarecrow are locked in a prison by the wicked witch. Obama is a m@7#3f*(@3r who is selling us down the rathole.
We have millions of unemployed college graduates and the President and assembled pundits have the audacity to tell us that our individual unemployment is our own damn fault for not being perfect enough.
If being 24, degreed and perky, isn't getting you hired 40+ and badly weathered hasn't got a hope in hell.
Do I really need to mention the state of the environment?
If you've got somebody to hold on to do it now. All too likely they'll put a knife between you before too long. Somebody will go for the carrot offered if they just walk away from you.....
pain is good for business.
Mr. Olausen, you've identified a common and hardened problem that leads to crisis which is not remembering how one gets into these things in the first place. The dream is so pervasive, even those who have a sense of recalling something ... something ... instead of going all the way, opt for the dream instead of the reality.
And thank you.
Welcome to the blog.
I have no doubt SusuSusannah that your whole continent is under constant watch. The Last Frontier and why not? they say. Long they've had a foothold, it began there, perhaps that is where it will end.
We all share your experiences, sleepless nights and empty larders, somehow we make do. Sometimes I remind myself of a 90's cable show where a famous chef goes into a bachelor's barren refrigerator to create a masterpiece out of things like coffee and little packs of sugar, an open carton of fried rice with the chopsticks still in it. The chefs always came up with something cool. Maybe they didn't show the ones who stormed out in a hissy fit.
The thing for poverty is creativity which you are blessed with. Maybe ask the unschool to share their ideas for raw survival and use some of those ideas while conserving your basics. I'd get everybody in on it which would put a damper on worry because it then becomes a shared experience of mutual effort and contribution.
You are right about choosing Chickory and there is more. Once you get into that mindset, it gets easier to go back there until its always there. Then you are operating from interior strength which can't be removed, not even dented. It is also easier to forgive because you know how things come about.
Your NM post was wonderful, the photos, the descriptions, it is always a treat to see something through eyes seeing it for the first time. And your eyes are artist's eyes, so details fail to evade your awareness.
Your work cannot help but be affected in some way.
be not afraid. So good I might have to steal it.

Thank you neil. Now if we could just put our minds on clouds and be done with the nonsense below...
neil, what is the news on Life's and your collection of works?
Pangolin, strangest thing, I put up a comment for you last night and can find it nowhere. I must have signed off too soon, there is no copy in all the usual hiding places.
I recall what was said however which was I agree with you.
Are you still involved with dance church? It seems that shaking it all out of the system is one very positive way to overcome the madness.
life had been contacted by someone who wanted to use a couple of poems for a newsletter or something.... I did write to her on the community site but still havent heard from her....
I havent really got a collection of poems nina I just write them on other peoples blogs of which you and mr visibles have definately got the most and then its the usual gang su chickory mrs life bho dublins burnies and john at the paintings site of which I mean to visit soon
am with you its much nicer up their on the clouds above, but I suppose we all have to deal with the pesky down belows....
anyway lets hope we see the end of murdoch...........
massive love and respects....neil
Yes neil, and what a strange way to make a living, not to mention his living was already made long, long ago, to create panic, piling panic on top of panic, digging out panic, parading panic, geeze! To all of them I say shoo. Beat it. You and yours are cooked and done. What have any of them to show for service to humanity? Shackle the whole lot of them into the dungeons and throw the key into the Thames.
hopefully murdoch and associates will come to their senses renounce all their ill gotten gain and appologise to everybody that they have mongered wars against and lied to continuously,,,,
that would be good a start
I would say murdoch lives in a prison inside himself already,he just hasnt figured that out,nor is he showing any signs of figuring that out,
but what gets me is certain things are not being said, murdoch did the governments bidding, the position every body is being shown is murdoch being publicly abbandoned but if that was true murdoch would of immediately brought out the fact that he was approached by the weapons industry and equivilents in the government in the first place to sell the wars...
maybe he is being used as a scapegoat, the government in england is completely run by rothschild cohorts and has been for years, could they be trying to shed some responsibility in the hope that they will retain some sort of power,,I dont know,,,,
but untill murdoch stands up and publicly distances himself from his masters with the naming of names involved in the deceptions leading up to the wars and all the rest of it,I am taking the whole thing with a pinch of salt,, murdoch was painting a bad picture of our brothers and sisters in the middle east long before any talk of war,so by my reckonings he was working to an agenda, along with the others,
anyway have a nice day nina...neil
also all of murdochs papers and news programs were losing its audience,,,he had already failed,,,
nina, neil, here I am! neil, I have sent you a message at the community site...
nina, a Mr Seejay Crosson from The Ozark Research Institute contacted me about using one of neil's and a few of my poems in his upcoming quarterly journal. If you'd like to take a look or have any advise I'd be open to it. I currently have no experience in having my poems published (other than my first real poem written in 5th grade "Purple Is..." which was chosen to be printed in the local newspaper!).
There was no mention of renumeration other than including a short bio of us if we wished, and I don't quite understand how copyright issues affect this. I believe the author automatically owns their copyright, no matter who publishes works.
At the least, you and neil can refer to yourselves very truthfully as published poets.
When you extend written permission for publication of specifically named works, there is no copyright infringement. However, if someone else uses it without your permission, based on seeing it in this man's quarterly journal, its his problem. It can get much more complicated and filled with legal loopholes, but why get out of joint over such things? One thing to remember about your work, there is always more where it comes from. That cannot be said for a thief.
neil, you know the phrase The foxes guarding the henhouse? Today's developments on the phone hacking "scandal" has a certain British humor to it all. Down the road it can't come to much because you have a situation of the Foxes investigating the Foxes.
Can the technology that allows these things to have become everyday opportunities be arrested, incarcerated, humiliated and outcast from society everywhere? No, it can only multiply. It multiplies in this direction because of the desires of the investors who have the financial ability to support that direction.
You'd think that after all this time, more would remember to breathe. That breath doesn't have to be that deep, maybe that thought behind it does.
oh, I'm not out of joint. Just choosing to move forward with discernment. I feel honored this man felt moved by our words.
"I agree they make it hard to get there, but it is that difficulty that makes our journey ultimately worthwhile. If you achieve nothing else in this lifetime, to achieve inner peace regardless of predators and their freak offspring, the mass mind, you will have achieved a legacy worth the heartache of having been here."
Bingo!
What I muse upon almost everyday. It is the true life we cultivate in spite of 'them', 'it', 'the madness' out there, that defines the value and meaning of our lives. By concentrating on what I can create (goodness via nurturing and ahimsa, inner stability and peace), I am allowed to continue in relative sanity despite it all.
I think its brilliant mrs life, and will answer your message tomorrow,,,
nina it looks like the cheif of police has just resigned aswell
I wonder what tomorrow will bring...
anyway have to go to sleep...neil
neAl has an excellent point. Some breathe naturally, some forget what is natural, then it turns into panic, real fast. Forget breathing, oops.
Thank you neAl. Freak outbursts of the mass mind go though that, over and over. Even after they are apprehended, still forgetting, still in panic, never taking stock of the big picture. Thus high recidivism, thus the enrichment for privitazion of the system.
Life, I didn't mean you personally would get out of joint over such matters. I was speaking generally.
I see nina. Thanks for clarifying. :)
I've always envied those women in older movies who used to feint when things got tight. Like they hear some frightening thing, swoon, and fall over. Lights out. Don't have to deal with whatever it was... I always thought of it as a luxury that I could not afford.
Instead, I guess I have an Observer part of me that I jump into when things are really scary. The Observer never panics because She is not threatened. She is just observing from above my shoulder.
It's helpful to have at least part of myself around who keeps her shit together when I am about to freak. I don't know if that means I am stable or schizoid, but it works for me.
But sometimes I still wish I could feint.
Thank you freeacre, that was very insightful. We want to ask where does the Observer come from? Or probably more importantly, just what is it that enables the Observer. It could be innate, but nurtured, ever-present high intelligence filtering the moment. I think we are born with an Observer and through experience learn to listen or fall prey to the mass contagion of not listening.
Yeah, Nina, I think i first began to cultivate my sense of the Observer while reading Ram Dass' early works and I was a pretty solid meditator. I suppose it could be considered part of the Higher Self. It also came in handy back in the day when I'd be peaking on acid - kept me from getting completely swept up. "oh, that's interesting...freeacre's boyfriend just had horns pop out of his forehead and he has cloven hooves and the legs of a goat. Hummmmm"
lol. Things sure have calmed down a lot since then.
Ooooo, you bring back some amazing visual memories.
And the boyfriend, how did that relationship work out seeing as how he produced such an amazing hallucination? Um, I think I already know. But maybe not. Your responses are always a surprise.
Very glad you are back.
Ha! Suffice it to say, it was "all grist for the mill."
You have a cool head, Nina. I think you have really nailed the panic aspect going on. If fear paralyses the mind, panic ensues. People stop thinking, and just run for safety. Which may turn out to be a trap. The antidote: peace of mind. Good call. I intend to work on it. Courage is good, too.
